We are recruiting for a practitioner to join our experienced, friendly team in Harrogate. Minimum Level 3 NVQ in Early Years and Education or equivalent. SEND experience is desirable but not essential as full training will be given.

The successful candidate will work as a key person under the direction of the Pre-school Managers in our dynamic setting rated ‘Good’ by Ofsted (Nov 2017)

Main Duties

To assist with the planning of the curriculum using the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum for guidance.
To help set up the Pre-school for the daily programme.
To act as a key person to a group of children, liaising closely and building an effective relationship with parents/carers and ensuring each child’s needs are recognised and met.
To follow safeguarding and child protection procedures.
Assist children at meal times
To undertake any other reasonable duties as directed by the Pre-school Managers in accordance with the settings business plan objectives.
Personal Specification

Level 3 NVQ in Childcare essential
Good Communication Skills
Team player
Current paediatric first-aid qualification
Previous experience of working with young children in an Early Years setting
Enhanced DBS check required
