Our pre school children have been experimenting and exploring colour.
What happens when we mix two colours together?
we made colour mixing sensory bags to help the children understand the concept through a hands on activity.

Last week our toddler room was exploring the story of the Gruffalo
They really enjoyed having a Gruffalo tea party.
The children made their own Gruffalo decorations and our chef Dave adapted our lunch to make our fish pie look like Gruffalo Pie.
We had a fantastic time!

Life is what you BAKE of it!
Our pre school children are fabulous helpers when baking or preparing their own snacks.
They use safety equiptment to chop, spread, mix and scoop
The children enjoy talking about their tastes and preferences as well as healthy food and nutrition
If you would like to take home some recipes from our menu to cook with your child at home, please ask one of the practitioners, we would love to share them with you

We love to use everyday objects to support children's learning.
Using objects that were not intended to be 'played' with helps spark curiosity and exploration for children
what can I do with this?
Why not make a car from a wicker basket? 🚗
Using mug trees to promote hand eye co-ordination for hooking and balancing skills❓
Curiosity in children highlights an appetite for knowledge 🧠

Our toddlers are exploring the herby playdough 🌿🫚
Using the cutters to chop into smaller pieces and mixing it in with their dough
The children love to smell the different herbs
Adding herbs to playdough creates a rich sensory experience that strengthens fine motor skills, enhances cognitive development, and provides calming aromatherapy for our children.

Our tweenies are exploring some large scale mark making!
They are using a variety of mark making materials to draw on the paper with their peers
This activity extended to the children attempting to draw around their hands, feet and whole bodies.
Large-scale mark making offers significant developmental benefits by engaging the whole body, fostering gross motor skills alongside fine motor control.
