There was an incredibly stylish woman, with an impressive array of trendy shoes, who shuffle ball changed into my life a few years ago, messaging me asking if there was a place in my new tap class in Boston Spa.

She came along, and stayed. and I am so thankful she did. She taught me how truly fun, hilarious and magical life could be.
The way she commanded a room, created laughter wherever she was, she had so many attributes that I live my life by today. She taught me that joy and humour and kindness is all that matters. And she was the epitome of it. A dry humour, a beauty so radiant, a love for life, a love for her wonderful family, and a (secret) love for tap dance. I somehow even got her to perform several times in front of an audience (how, I have no idea as she said she would NEVER!)

We sadly lost this incredible woman on Friday. I can’t tell you how much light has dimmed in the world because of her exit.

She said to me, after her diagnosis - please keep my place. Won’t you?

Jules, you will always have a place, forever in our memories, I will never forget your huge presence in my classes. The wine. The laughter. The Musical Theatre class you pained to attend, because of your loyalty no doubt.

I will never forget you. Take your bow. Exit, stage right. Forever to be remembered, as being radiant, and as being bloody wonderful.
