The staff and students at Strive really enjoyed their first visit to Corn Close Farm on Friday. Cath and her team first introduced us to all the animals at the farm. We then helped to feed and muck out the animals. We even got a chance to brush the goats and help with some lamb First Aid.
Thanks again to Cath and all the team at Corn Close Farm. We are really looking forward to visiting once a month to gain more practical experience with the animals as part of our Animal Care studies Corn Close Care Farm

☀️ Making the most of what might be the last of the sunshine!

Students at North Park Road headed out onto the Stray for a nature challenge, searching for as many different natural finds as they could spot along the way 🌿🍂

Safe to say, the conker hunt got VERY competitive! 😂

A simple afternoon outdoors, with plenty of fresh air, exploring and a very impressive conker haul to show for it 🌰🙌

A lovely evening welcoming visitors to our North Park Road site 👋

Today’s Open Afternoon gave families the chance to look around the school, step inside our classrooms and get a feel for the environment our students learn in every day.

From spaces like our Purple Home Room to the people who bring them to life, it was great to open our doors, answer questions and share a little more about what makes Strive, Strive. 💜

Thank you to everyone who came along!

🥊 Purple Form hit the bags today!

Our students headed to Harrogate Boxing Club for an hour-long session with Coach Ben.

They were put through their paces with heavy-bag drills, footwork and pad work, developing their stance, movement, combinations and technique throughout the session.

A brilliant opportunity to build fitness, coordination and confidence while learning the fundamentals of boxing from an experienced coach.

Huge thanks to Coach Ben for regularly putting them through their paces! 🥊💪 Harrogate Amateur Boxing Club

🏀 A new addition to North Park Road!

Strive’s Sport Lead surprised students with a new classroom-friendly basketball hoop last week… and it’s already getting plenty of use!

Shooting hoops has quickly become a fun way to earn rewards — with everything from little classroom perks to the highly coveted sh***un seat in the van when heading off-site for sporting activities! 😂

A bit of friendly competition, plenty of movement and another way to keep physical activity part of everyday life at Strive! 🏀🙌
