Smartie Land Day Nursery & Pre-School

In Barbara's room we have followed activities based on the children's interests, which are currently dinosaurs, role play and numbers. 🦕🦖🔢

Using our imaginations we have created some amazing dinosaur masks which we have enjoyed role playing with.🎨

We have explored many tuff trays, but we have particularly enjoyed the tuff tray based on the book Harry and the bucketful of dinosaurs, we then enjoyed reading and sharing the book together.

Together we have baked some delicious number biscuits, which we used our numeracy skills to recognise the numbers. We also baked star biscuits which we gave to our friends following the topic of kindness.

We created our very own fossils which was so interesting to learn about, and no matter the weather we have enjoyed playing outside together!!! ☔☀️

we have had a fun packed week in preschool, we have been learning all about minibeast which has been soooo interesting. 🐞 🪲

We have baked some delicious butterfly buns which were sooo yummy!! 🦋

We have used our creative and fine motor skills to create our very own minibeast's which we were so proud of!!

Together we explored many sensory tuff trays from finding different insects in the rainbow rice, to then discovering the insects which were trapped inside the ice.🧊

Although we have enjoyed all our planned activities the children have shown great imagination and have engaged in their own play.

You scream, I scream we all scream for ice cream 🍨😋

What an amazing week we have had in preschool, we have baked some delicious ice cream cakes!!!

Together we enjoyed the challenge of breaking free our toys from the ice, which was so much fun🧊!!

We explored many tuff trays from creating our own playdough ice cream, to exploring sensory ice cream oats which we all really enjoyed!!

This week in Barbara's room has been super cool 🧊

We have been very creative, and using our imaginations we worked together to create our very own ice cream shop which was super fun. 🍦😀

Together we have baked some delicious treats, from cheese scones to our very own ice cream cakes which were sooo yummy!!!

To finish the week we have created some beautiful pebble art work and have enjoyed getting outside in the sunshine ☀️

In preschool this week we have been super busy!!

We have been learning all about numbers, together we baked some delicious number biscuits and talked about what numbers we could see.🔢

We looked at different numbers, and we were able to match them to the correct amount we did this so well!

We created our own current buns using the playdough and even used the rice sensory tray to write our very own numbers.

With hedgehogs being our interest at the moment, we created our very own clay hedgehogs which we were so proud of.🦔

To finish the week we have been getting outside as much as possible with the weather being so beautiful ☀️

In Barbara's room this week, we have been learning all about numbers!!🔢

We have been learning these, by using our favourite number nursery rhymes. We have baked some delicious current buns, which we then acted out to the current bun song which was sooo fun!!

Together we created a 5 little speckle frog sensory tray, and used our creative skills to make our very own frog hats which helped us to act out our speckled frog song.🐸

We have learnt all about the time and have used the clocks to better our understanding on this, and we even got chance to create our very own.

To finish the week we have looked at different ways to create numbers, from using playdough to sand. What a fun and educational week it has been ☺️

Just another bee-utiful week in the big preschool room we have been extremely buzzy🐝

We have worked together to bake some delicious honey biscuits!🍯😋 and even made some amazing bee clay ornaments!

We have had many messy sensory tuff trays, from using our fine motor skills to rescue the bee's out the honey cornflour, to exploring the beautiful colours of the bee's.

We have created some wonderful art work which we are very proud of, and even constructed our very own flower beds for the bee's🌸🌷

what a lovely week it has been.

This week in Barbara's room we have been exploring and learning all about Bee's.🐝

We have used our fine motor skills, to practise writing the letter B which we did so very well!

We also used our numeracy skills, and were able to recognise and count all the different bee's that we could see.

We created some beautiful art work, and baked some delicious honey buns and bee cookies which we made together.

Together we enjoyed playing outside and playing many games together what a lovely week it has been.

Tweenies have had lots of exciting activities over the past couple of weeks. We have been exploring:
Woodland animals 🐿️
Under the sea 🐟
Bees 🐝

We have some little artists in the making creating lovely pictures of Bumble Bees and under the sea animals. We have been investigating woodland creatures by using magnifying glasses to see what we can find in the woodland tray.
