We’re proud of everyone who has worked hard to achieve their results, often balancing their studies with work, family and other commitments.

A special shoutout to:

👏 Neil - Grade 8 in GCSE English, taking an important step towards his long-term goal of becoming a nurse.

👏 Basma - Grade 6 in GCSE English and a grade 8 in maths, balancing her studies with looking after her young family. She plans to continue her studies with the ambition of becoming a maths teacher.

👏 Seb - Grade 4 in GCSE English, achieving the grade he needed to progress towards a Motor Vehicle course at Harrogate College.

👏 Arn - Grade 4 in GCSE maths, and now progressing to a supported internship at Harrogate Hospital.

👏 Saffron - Grade 4 in maths at her fifth attempt, demonstrating fantastic determination. She will now progress to Access to Science, with ambitions of a career in health.

At the end of the last academic year, our Preparing for Adulthood students proudly volunteered to support and its Summer Appeal. As part of the campaign, they delivered appeal letters to local residents, showing great teamwork, commitment and community spirit 🌟

The charity was incredibly grateful for their efforts and shared its sincere thanks for the students' valuable support.

We are very proud of our students for taking the opportunity to give back to their local community while building important life and employability skills.

Well done to everyone involved, and thank you to the staff who helped make these valuable experiences possible 👏

Students from Harrogate College and competed in the first-ever WorldSkills competition!

Participants from both colleges went head-to-head in electrical engineering, joinery, bricklaying, and motor vehicle maintenance. The timed 90-minute event tested the exact skills they’ve gained in college this year. Competition was fierce on the day, with students taking immense pride in representing their respective campuses. By the final whistle, the scores were perfectly tied with two wins for each college!

Staff also made great use of the event, strengthening their collaboration across the two colleges through peer learning and curriculum co-design, which will support the delivery of these clean energy pathways next year.

Danny Wild, Principal of Harrogate College, said: "Well done to all the participants, staff, and students who took part in our first cross-group WorldSkills competition. You could feel the excitement in the room.

We would like to thank for being the judge of our competitions held at Harrogate College. We are looking forward to expanding WorldSkills next year so even more of our staff and students can enjoy competitive activities!"

Celebrating creativity with our end-of-year art exhibition! 🎨

Before the summer break, our Art & Creative department proudly hosted our annual end-of-year art exhibition, celebrating the incredible talent, creativity and achievements of our students as they reached the end of another successful academic year.

The exhibition showcases a diverse collection of artwork produced across the academic year, highlighting the skills, imagination and dedication of our learners. It provided a fantastic opportunity to recognise the hard work of our students while celebrating the inspiring outcomes of their creative journeys.

Celebrating student success at our end-of-year awards! 🎉

Before the end of the academic year, we hosted our annual end-of-year student awards celebration, recognising the outstanding achievements, dedication and resilience of our students across the college.

The ceremony brought together students from all curriculum areas, alongside staff, governors and our valued business partners, to celebrate the incredible successes of this academic year. From academic excellence and personal development to determination and community contribution, the awards
highlighted the many ways our students have excelled both inside and outside the classroom.

Congratulations to all of our nominees and award winners. Every nomination reflected an inspiring story of hard work and achievement, and we are incredibly proud of everything our students have accomplished this year. 👏
