If this article affects or has relevance to you, please contact your GP. You can register your desire to give your own experience of trying to access a bone scan and then even harder - to accessing effective treatment for bone strength.
The more feedback from us ‘regular people types’ means the more chance the cover will be pulled from the elephant in the room. Only then can we start to address this issue and help people to improve the quality of their own lives.
Today I had a conversation with a lady who’d experienced this same, common challenge of needing a bone scan because of her understanding weakening bones.
The scan was needed to clarify her bone status and vulnerability to fragility fractures. Nonetheless, she could not get a scan without a doctor’s referral. She could not get a referral without breaking a bone.
A cul-de-sac without reverse option.
It’s not the doctor’s fault - they’re constrained.
It doesn’t have to be this way…
We all want to be happy, healthy and active - enjoying the next chapters of our lives. This is more than just possible.

Even elite athletes pass their best around 30… but YOU don’t have to
All of us over 30 years of age are losing muscle mass (due to sarcopenia) and bone strength.
It’s easier to effectively address than you may think - no hour long gym sessions needed!
By completing focussed and targetted exercise on our specialised equinpment…
“After completing a six week program I am pleased with the results, both from the bio density machine and the Power Plate (the brilliant hydro massage bed was a very enjoyable add on!). Over the course of the six weeks I saw a significant strength improvement over all four exercises, particularly the leg press and vertical lift. It took a couple of sessions to master the required techniques, but thereafter the results were impressive (measured at 104% improvement in strength). Each session is complete in 20-30 minutes, and there is none of the sweat or exhaustion experienced in a gym workout! The science behind the process is believable, and no doubt has improved bone health.”

I would concur. It may only be December but it will fill quickly.
Come to sunny Harrogate (well, stormy today!) … we’d love to meet you
We're up in Harrogate, North Yorkshire on the 8th July at Biostrong.
The clinic is already beginning to fill ; so if you're in the north of England and want a scan with Nick Birch, get in contact and book sooner rather that later as we predict this clinic will be another full one :)

Can you spot the change - without any assistance? If necessary, try it several times and see if you can...
This illustrates what happens / is happening to ALL of us.
How bone strength and muscle change as we pass 30-40 years. Without the proper steps to address it the best of our 'scene' slowly disappears too, until one day...
