This amazing group has worked hard to bring their documentary projects to life. This photo was taken at the screening night, where we celebrated their group films together, a special moment of creativity, teamwork, and storytelling.

Now, a new chapter begins.

Each trainee has stepped into their own solo project, finding their own story, shaping their vision, and taking full ownership of the filmmaking process.

We’re excited to see what will come out of this next phase. Powerful stories are waiting to be told.

A few Miles Away - Group Project 24/03/2026

“It doesn’t happen here.”
That’s what many of us believe when it comes to modern slavery and human trafficking.

But the truth is far closer to home.

A Few Miles Away is a powerful short documentary produced by a group of students from the Documentary Film School, shining a light on the hidden reality of trafficking in the UK, happening not in distant places, but often just a few miles from where we live, work, and shop.

For Their Freedom - Group Project 20/03/2026

Over the past 3 weeks, our trainees have worked hard to create their group documentary projects, and we’re excited to share one of them with you.

This film explores the courage and sacrifice of people from Hong Kong, and their desire to build a hopeful future for the next generation. It’s a story of resilience, identity, and hope in the face of real challenges.

This project was created as part of the Documentary Film School 2026 in Harpenden, England, where students learn not just how to film, but how to tell stories that matter.

We’re proud of the team behind this film and the heart they’ve put into telling this story.

Watch, reflect, and share.
