🎶Such a creative week! 🤩We've got FOUR courses taking place and it's AMAZING! So much energy and incredible skills being showcased.
🤘🏼Our new course - Musicale Rocks! has been rocking out all week in our home building at Musicale. Who'd have thought you could have so many drum kits in one place!👨🏼‍🎤⭐There is a lot of passion being belted out from the bands and our first Musicale Rock Gig will see a lot of moshing and who knows, maybe even some crowdsurfing...! 😂🎸
🎭Musicale Theatre are putting the finishing touches on their production of High School Musical Jr taking place at Katherine Warington School tomorrow evening. Cheerleading practice on the top field, sound tech discussions - can you actually dance with a microphone?! - costumes, staging...SO much to consider in just 5 days! But we're All in this Together! 🎤
🎵Week Two orchestra is preparing a musical feast for their audience tomorrow too! They have delved into all sorts of pieces this week. They've been challenged and tested to their limits and that's just the staff. 🤪We're looking forward to hearing their performance at the end of the day. 🎻🎺
🥁And lastly, but showing just as much enthusiasm for music, is our Step up to Music week two cohort of 2026! Discovering the connections of colour in music and getting creative with their t-shirt and hat designs, we can't wait to see these young musicians-in-waiting tomorrow afternoon as they show us their new found talents! 🥁🎹🪇🪈

We're so proud of each and every young musician and performer. These are busy weeks that they give their all and the staff enjoy the courses as much as the students. It's a joy to see and hear music alive and kicking in Harpenden!

Wow! Two of our summer courses are officially sold out: Musical Theatre and Musicale Rocks! are both full - thank you to everyone who has already booked (and those enjoying the first week too!).

*Good news:* there are still spaces for next week, w/c 3rd August on Step Up to Music (ages 5-7) and our Orchestra & Windband course at Katherine Warington School in Harpenden. The courses are 9.30-3.30pm and there are limited spaces for wraparound care left too.

Both are structured, tutor-led weeks that leave children more confident, more connected and genuinely excited about music - not just another week of holiday childcare. No prior experience needed for Step Up, the Orchestra course is Grade 1+.

Spaces are limited and will close on or before Thursday 30th July. If you've been meaning to book, now's the moment.

As we get ready for the summer music courses, here is a lovely flash back to the Easter orchestral course where students were awarded individual strings, brass and woodwind prizes for being brilliant! 🎶✨
