Batford Nursery School and Day Care

We have had lots of fun taking part in our sponsored circuit! Our favourite part was having a nice, cold ice lolly and receiving our medals on the podium. Thank you to all the parents and carers who came along and participated. ❤️

There has been lots of excitement, awe and wonder today as we observed two frogs in our pond! We look forward to seeing more in the coming weeks as the tadpoles grow into frogs. 🐸

We have been enjoying the sunshine and all the lovely opportunities to climb and ride on the bikes! ☀️ 🚲

Yesterday we marked Earth Hour with the children by joining in with activities across the day. 🌍

All the children had the opportunity to go out to the front of the Nursery and plant a flower in some upcycled tyres. They filled wheelbarrows with compost and wheeled it out to the front, and then dug some little holes for their plants.

We hope you agree that the new additions to the front of the Nursery look so lovely, bright and colourful to welcome in Spring. We are planning to go out to see them periodically, water them and see how they are growing. We hope that you enjoy watching them bloom too on your way in and out of the Nursery.

The children showed keenness, team work and enthusiasm and we have enjoyed marking such a special day with them. They all received a very well deserved 'Eco Warrior' owl sticker for their efforts. ✨❤️
