This week four of our Year 12 students visited High Beeches Primary School as part of their Sixth Formers into Teaching qualification.

The students observed Year 5 classes learning maths, and as part of their KS2 teaching practice will be planning and teaching a lesson there next week.

We’d like to thank High Beeches for their continued support with this unique programme we are able to provide our Year 12 students in the maths department.

We can’t wait to see them teaching their own lessons next week.

A few weeks ago we saw the Year 9 Architecture and Engineering students designing their own truss bridges using only paper, tape and string as part of the Engineering Truss Bridge Challenge.

They have now tested their structures by adding weight to see which bridge could hold the most while maintaining its integrity. Well done to the winning team!

Wishing our Year 7 students a wonderful time on their upcoming trip to the charming town of Rue, France.

They’ll be enjoying a mayonnaise-making workshop, exploring a local market, and visiting a snail farm, goat farm, and even a chocolate factory!

Have an amazing trip full of new experiences and great memories.
