Next up in our 'Learn with us in Pre-Prep' series... Phonics! ✏️
Pupils from Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 demonstrate how their phonics knowledge develops throughout the Pre-Prep. From identifying sounds in Reception, to segmenting and blending sounds using vowel digraphs in Year 1, and recognising alternative vowel spellings in Year 2. 🗨

What an amazing evening! 🎉
Our LAMDA Showcase was a huge success, everyone performed with such confidence and showcased a brilliant range of pieces. 🎭
It's fantastic to see the impact of their weekly LAMDA lessons, as pupils grow in confidence, improve their public speaking, communication and performance skills, strengths that extend beyond the classroom.
Well done to all our performers and a massive thank you to Miss Attzs and our wonderful LAMDA teachers for all their hard work!
Our Pre-Prep pupils had so much fun following clues around the school in search of a hidden book! 🔍📚
At Aldwickbury, we believe that fostering a love of reading from an early age sparks curiosity, imagination and a lifelong passion for learning. Reading is not only enjoyable but also plays a vital role in a child's academic, emotional and social development. 📖
Stay tuned for the Juniors' turn... 👀

Pre-Prep had some exciting new arrivals before half term! 🦆
They kept a close eye on the incubator, eagerly waiting for the duck eggs to hatch, and it wasn't long before our ducklings were here! 🥚
Pupils have had so much fun visiting the ducklings, learning all about them in their Future Thinking lessons, and enjoying the opportunity to gently hold and cuddle them. Their cheeky personalities and frequent attempts to make a run for it kept everyone entertained!
Our parent series continues ✨
🎥 In part 3, Aldwickbury families share how their children have explored a wide range of experiences, discovered new interests and benefited from the strong sense of community that makes the school so special.

Miles for Max 👟💙
What an incredible day! Before 5am on Saturday morning, 38 teachers, parents and friends, looked after by an amazing support team, set off from Haileybury to take on a 27-mile ultramarathon walk. All in support of Great Ormond Street Hospital and Charity and our Year 7 pupil, Max.
In exceptionally hot conditions, the team walked through the Lea Valley, stopped at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, home to Max’s beloved Spurs, and finally reached Great Ormond Street Hospital at 6pm! ☀️
The most special moment came at the end, when Max joined the final stretch and led everyone to the finish line. 🏁
We are so proud of everyone who took part and grateful for all the support, encouragement and donations from the wider Aldwickbury community.
