Building confidence one calculation at a time!
Our pupils have been working hard on their fluency skills—practising strategies, sharing ideas, and celebrating those “I get it!” moments together. Proud of their focus and teamwork today.

🌿🔎 Year 2 Science Explorers!

Today, Year 2 have been learning about food chains and how animals and plants are connected.

They discovered that:
🌱 Plants make their own food using sunlight
🐛 Some animals eat plants
🦊 Some animals eat other animals

The children worked hard to build simple food chains and explain who eats who. We are so proud of their growing scientific thinking and curiosity about the natural world! 🌍✨

Riddle me this…
I need sunlight to grow, and animals eat me to stay alive — what am I? 🌞🌱

🎭✨ **Rehearsal with Purpose**

Year 6 have been working alongside our drama teacher to rehearse their lines with clarity, expression and confidence.

Through performance, pupils are developing:
• 🗣️ Oracy and projection
• 🎯 Precise articulation and pace
• 👀 Audience awareness
• 🤝 Collaboration and constructive feedback

Drama isn’t just about performing — it strengthens reading fluency, builds self-belief and deepens understanding of character and text.

We are so proud of the focus and maturity they are showing as they refine their performance skills. 🌟

🗺️🌍 Young Geographers at Work!

Today in Year 3, we sharpened our atlas skills and explored the physical features of Europe.

We located the towering mountains of Italy and traced the great rivers flowing through Spain and France. 🏔️🌊

So proud of how confidently the children used their atlases to navigate continents, countries and physical features like real explorers!

Geography is more than maps — it’s understanding our world. 🌎✨

➗ Learning to Divide – The Concrete Way! 🧮

Today in Year 2, our children have been exploring how to divide by 2 using concrete manipulatives. By sharing objects into equal groups and physically moving counters, they are developing a deep understanding of what division really means — not just the answer, but the why behind it.

Using hands-on resources helps our pupils:
✨ Visualise equal groups
✨ Build confidence with number facts
✨ Strengthen their mathematical reasoning

We are so proud of the focus, teamwork and mathematical thinking on display. Well done, Year 2! 👏
