Good morning to you all. Our school community and the vast majority of the SFG intake were extremely encouraged by the news on Wednesday where BMAT set our a clear plan for their students to return (news article at the foot of this post) plus, we believe that MP Mr Halfon did meet with groups of parents yesterday both virtually and in person.

However, councillor Chris Vince is still very keen that tonight’s meeting go ahead at Pemberley Academy starting at 5pm so he can do his very best to listen to your concerns, thoughts and other questions and take these to colleagues to support you all in getting answers that you need.

If anyone who is planning to attend tonight perhaps met with the local MP yesterday it would be comforting to hear his thoughts on the plans if anyone would like to share.

A reminder that gates will be open around 4.30pm - Mr Coster and Mr Kalafi (assistant head) will be on hand to greet people at the gates, and the main school care park will be open. Everyone is welcome.

The collective schools of the Hare Street and little Parndon area would like to convey a huge debt of gratitude to the SFG staff who have, almost certainly, been working tirelessly.

**SFG Meeting with councillor Chris Vince**

FRIDAY 25th (this Friday) at 5pm

Afternoon to you all - Despite being on the summer break I’m sure many of you would have been shocked to hear about the developing situation at Sir Frederick Gibberd College (SFG) a school that the majority of children at Pemberley have chosen to attend over the last 4 years.

The Pemberley community wish to send out the strongest message of support to colleagues at SFG in what is simply an unprecedented event.

Councillor Vince wants to take the opportunity to chat to parents about the ongoing situation to gather thoughts and feelings and see how he can best support everyone going forward.

So, we invite both Pemberley parents and those from the Little Parndon and Hare Street community, with children, at or going to SFG, to pop along.

Mr Coster will be on site from 4.30pm and councillor Vince will arrive just after 5pm.

Year 6 leavers evening tonight.

Only the second group to have made it the whole way from EYFS.

Fervidly it’s been quite a day, SATS results, swimming, leavers trip and the emotional assembly that left most of us in tears.

Regardless of what secondary school you’ll all attend in September you’ll always be bonded by Purple.

‘Pirates of the Curry bean’ all done. A house of just under 350 people and without doubt the best end to a summer term.

Well done to all the children, the families for supporting and the Playhouse for hosting us. We like to go big or go home at Pembs - experience comes from taking a chance and we’re never afraid to do that.

Being a truly great school covers all areas of the day plus the life of the child and the annual summer show is testament to that.

Summer Club update;

Morning all, with only a few weeks left until the summer we thought we update parents/carers as to holiday plans.

Steele Sports Academy will be running for 3 weeks at Pemberley, the Saracens Foundation sessions also look to be running for 3 weeks (all dates TBC) however, Pemberley All Stars Club will sadly NOT be running.
