🧵✨ Back-to-School Sewing Skills Session! ✨🧵

Yesterday, our Women's Hobby Club got together and took their first steps into the world of sewing! 🪡💛

The ladies learned the basics of using a sewing machine, practised threading and handling the machine, and had a go at making their very first stitches. 🧵✂️

It was a lovely afternoon filled with learning, sharing skills and tips, and building confidence. We can't wait to see what everyone creates next! 🌟

A big thank you to everyone who joined us and made the session so special.

This Saturday, our usual Saturday Club session will not be taking place. Instead, we’ll be joining the Harlow Town Show for a fun day out! 🎉

This weeks Women's Hobby Club sewing session was a wonderful success! We were delighted to receive such positive feedback from the ladies who attended. It was fantastic to see everyone learning new skills, sharing ideas, and enjoying time together.

With the new school term just two weeks away, next week's Women's Hobby Club session will focus on practical sewing skills that can help families save money. We will be sharing valuable techniques, worth more than £60, on how to shorten, trim, and alter children's trousers and dresses to ensure they fit perfectly for the new school year.

Join us for another enjoyable session of learning, creativity, and friendship. We look forward to seeing you there!

🔥 A Visit to Harlow Fire Station! 🔥

Our children had a fantastic time visiting Harlow Fire Station and learning more about the important work firefighters do in our community 👩‍🚒👨‍

The children had the chance to explore the fire station, see the fire engines up close and learn about fire safety 🚒

It was a fun, educational and memorable experience for everyone!

With the current hot and dry weather, the risk of fires is higher, so it’s especially important to stay safe and never leave fires unattended or light fires in unsafe areas

A huge thank you to all our firefighters for everything they do to keep our community safe! 👩‍🚒❤️

And a big thank you to BBC Children in Need for supporting our Saturday Club! 💛

💜 A little support can go a long way.

This week, our team provided practical support to an expectant mum and her children, helping them access essential food supplies and school uniforms through the generosity of our local partners.

We know that families can sometimes face challenging circumstances, and having the right support at the right time can make a real difference. Our team worked closely with the family to identify their needs and connect them with local support.

A heartfelt thank you to Harlow Foodbank, Bump to five and Rainbow Services (Harlow) for helping make this possible. By working together, we can ensure families in our community receive the support they need and feel welcomed, valued, and supported.

💜 What a fantastic Wild n Wacky session this Wednesday!

A huge thank you to BBC Children in Need for supporting these monthly sessions, giving 80+ children the opportunity to stay active, have fun, and make new friends in a safe and welcoming environment.

Special thanks also to the Wild 'n' Wacky team for always being so friendly, supportive, and helpful. Your enthusiasm makes every session enjoyable for everyone involved.

📅 Our next Wild n Wacky session will take place on 16 September, 6:00pm–8:00pm. We look forward to seeing you there! 🎉🌟
