How it began...

THE PLAYROOM STUDIO is a culmination of years of writing, performing, teaching and education, since we began down this musical path together our aim has always been to lead creative lives. Like many musicians we got to the stage that we wanted to have a recorded version of our songs, something to be proud of and document our progress, but after countless experiences in uninviting studios with little/no direction, we kept falling short of what we knew we could achieve, our best option was to learn how to capture it ourselves. What started with modest acoustic set ups lead to full productions, learning how to best mic Violins and Saxophones to get the richest sounds, and creating music to a standard that would get us played on the Radio, our new love affair with recording began. With almost no building experience, we set out with the help of close family to create our own space where we could record and teach on a greater scale than ever before.

This studio is a shrine of our dedication to music, to art and creation, standing inside there is a sense of pride and potential, in a space that oozes joy and also peace, we look forward to the coming years and all the things we will create there.
