The achievement of our school community doesn’t stop on a Friday.

Zakir just won a cup final with a team run by our very own Mr Dodd.

Children are schooled - not taught.

What can we say?

Our second TCS London Marathon ‘Mini marathon’ in two years. We’ll be back again next year.

This event is literally the best experience for our children. The bus into London past the landmarks, the anticipation on horse guards parade and crossing the line on the Mall.

If anyone was wondering - Miss Wright was the winner because clearly very competitive sports women don’t care that much about the kids 😉

Same time in 27.

Stacey Pardoe cup football yesterday.

Both boys and girls teams played St Andrews school from North Weald at Upper Clapton Rugby club.

Neither result went in our favour sadly but we’d like to thank the St Andrew’s community for being gracious hosts and Epping Rugby for letting us use their beautiful facility.

A simply wonderful night at Harlow Playhouse last night for the Harlow Ballet association production of Cinderella.

Such talented dancers who allowed 50 members of our school community to experience Ballet for the first time - and without any cost.

Many thanks to our local MP Chris Vince who sat with the children and parents.

Thank you to the Harlow ballet association for tickets to this gala event on Thursday night.

Please check your email as Miss Shields will be sending out details of when and where to collect tickets on the evening itself.

The response to this was overwhelming and we’re very much looking forward to introducing the Hare Street community to Ballet.

Happy Easter to all of you.

We hope that you’re enjoying the weekend and are going to enjoy the day.

If you’re looking for something to do today there is a wonderful Easter egg hunt, at the school which has been organised by our very own Mrs Clark.

It’s local, it’s completely free and there are refreshments for the adults and eggs (as if they needed anymore) for the kids.

Open to everyone so feel free to tag, share and inform.

And that was the term that was…

The last week never slowed down.

Our Easter performances of Robin Hood for year 3+4’s run by the talented Mr Ashford and our performing arts leaders.

Year 3+4 Essex County Rugby finals with the wonderful Miss Wright and our female sports leaders.

Then we ended it all with Robin Hood at the fabulous Harlow Playhouse. If ever you want to see pure joy, see if you can witness a 360 seat Hare Street muffin train screaming at Silly Billy to shoot them in the face with a water gun.

Best thing about all of this? We get to do it all again next term.

Have a wonderful break everyone.

And so the success continues.

This afternoon Mr Foley (Assistant Head/English lead) and Mr Coster were invited to attend the award ceremony for the Harlow poetry open which took place at Harlow Playhouse and was organised by Harlow Museum.

There were 108 submissions from people across the town and all of these were judged by experienced writers of poetry, and in her first attempt at this, Nelly has gone and won in the 7-10 year old age category.

The judges reflected;

“This a lilting, mysterious, sing song style poem that showcases a young poets developing sense of style and flair”

After she was given her award she performed the poem for the audience in what was her first ever public speaking appearance. It was wow.

Well done to all the poets there this afternoon. Nelly will now be invited to the Essex book fair, to be held this year at Harlow Museum, to perform again.

We’re so proud of you.
