Good news, we are open as usual this bank holiday weekend 👋.

Come along tomorrow (30th) and Support Friends Of Pets’ Corner Harlow, they are under the barn with fabulous tombola prizes to be won.

We are also here highlighting all the great work zoos do for research, conservation and education. Take part in some zoo crafts, animal theme colouring and a Zoo Explorer Quest.

! Attention for anyone planning on visiting Pets' Corner over the next few days !

The Town Park is busily undergoing transformation in preparation for the Town Show.
This means access to Pets' Corner is very limited and can only be done so on foot via the single lane road opposite the Toby Carvery.

There is no parking by Spurriers Café and there is limited access from school lane, you will have to walk down Park Lane then left on Edinburgh Way.

Those that have tickets we hope you all enjoy the amazing events of the Town Show.

For over 60 years, Pets’ Corner has been a much-loved part of Harlow Town Park. Friends of Pets’ Corner Harlow is a community group dedicated to helping it thrive for years to come.

We raise money to support the care and welfare of the animals, improve their homes and help fund new projects that benefit both the animals and our visitors.

Our fundraising comes through a range of events and activities, including family fun days, dog shows, seasonal events, raffles and much more. Every event helps raise valuable funds while bringing people together to enjoy everything Pets’ Corner has to offer.

Whether you’d like to volunteer, become a member, sponsor an event or simply come along and support us, every bit of help makes a difference.

Together, we can help ensure Pets’ Corner remains a special place for local families to enjoy and for the animals to receive the care they deserve.

☀️ VERY IMPORTANT MESSAGE – PLEASE READ! ☀️

We’ll be closing the gates at 3.15pm tomorrow (13.8.26) and Friday (14.8.26) due to the expected hot weather.

If you’re planning to visit us over the next few days, we strongly recommend coming first thing in the morning and avoiding the hottest part of the afternoon.

Please leave your dogs at home 🐶, dress for the weather, bring plenty of water and take care around hot surfaces inside Pets Corner.

And just a heads-up – there may not be quite as much to see as usual! Our animals will be keeping cool too, you may not see them as they will be spending lots of time in the shade, resting and generally taking it easy.

Please take care, keep cool and stay safe during your visit! 💧☀️

It's National Moth Week!

Moths are incredible pollinators, an important food source for birds and bats, and a vital part of our local ecosystems. With thousands of species in the UK, they're every bit as fascinating and beautiful as butterflies!

Here at Pets' Corner, we love moths and are lucky to be a great spot for these stunning creatures to hang out. So join us tomorrow as we celebrate National Moth Week! We'll have a variety of moth-themed activities and crafts for all ages, so come along to discover these amazing nocturnal insects and celebrate the wonderful wildlife on our doorstep.

Does your child love animals? Have they ever dreamed of being a zookeeper? 🐾

If your child has a passion for animals our Junior Zookeeper Days are the perfect adventure!

They'll step into the boots of a real zookeeper and get involved in a variety of daily animal care tasks. From preparing feeds and cleaning enclosures to creating enrichment activities and learning about animal behaviour and welfare, they'll discover the dedication and teamwork that goes into caring for animals every day.

It's a fun, hands-on experience that gives young animal lovers a behind-the-scenes look at life as a zookeeper while making unforgettable memories along the way.
