This accessible afternoon is designed to support children with additional needs that need a calmer and quieter environment. This Sunday 12th July - Why not also give Leicestershire Local Offer a follow for other SEND-friendly events during the summer.

It's for children, young adults and families with additional needs and disabilities.

We have relaxed lighting and sounds around the Centre, with hands-on sensory activities for SEND visitors who would benefit from a quieter experience.

Happy 100th birthday David Attenborough! Children celebrated by creating at home some extraordinarily special ‘super science spectacles’. Celebrating some of the many animals that he has observed over the years. They were all so different and fun! Thanks to all the children and families that helped us to celebrate today. Children received small prizes for delighting us all.

Fantastic weather for our canal explorations on Earth day! We were exploring the habitats along the canal. The children all loved their amazing bug discoveries. They are keen to protect this space that is so special. Thanks to Adrian again at the Canal and River Trust.
