This event sponsored by ABRSM brings together individuals and organisations involved in the musical education of young people who are Deaf/HoH or Blind/VI to exchange knowledge and experience. Building on last year’s discussions, the program features keynote speakers, professional dialogue, a demonstration from TiME (Technology in Music Education), and perspectives from a young person and a parent.

We have produced some new 1-minute impact films showing the wider, behind the scenes, work of the Hub. Each film presents a snapshot of a busy programme of work to help support young people, the workforce, schools, and the community. This film is focused on our work expanding access to music education.

We are committed to positive change and to ensure that our service is accessible by, and accessible to, as many young people, schools, teachers, and the community as possible. By harnessing external funding partnerships, the TBMH supports financial access for families through 9 different scholarships and bursary programmes providing more than 200 fully funded places for students taking part in our out of school provision. Our thanks go to John Lyon’s Charity, Royal Albert Hall, Thomas’ School Foundation, Royal College of Music, Lyric Hammersmith, and Tri-borough Music Trust.

The Tri-borough Music Hub Youth Voice Council is a group of young musicians representing the voices of Tri-borough music students. The council is a great way for young people to:
• Express their opinions of what they like about their experience of the TBMH and what they would like to improve.
• Make new friends and meet other fellow musicians.
• Help contribute to and be a part of the change as the TBMH evolves.
• Plan and take part in performance events.
• Learn new skills and gain experiences about planning live events.
