Nothing is compared to the feeling of moving your hands and getting a sound from a full orchestra and a choir at the time of Conducting an Opera. The sound coming from the stage and pit goes through your body and makes you to vibrate. It's likely moving a massive machine without even touching it.

You may wonder... why this guy is open his mouth like this while conducting?

Well... the answer is: At the time of opera performance, singers on stage are singing by heart their parts. In addition to that, they are thinking a lot on all movements on stage agreed with the stage director. That's a lot of information to handle!!

So, what I am doing is actually pretending singing the singers' part so I can help them to remember the part...:)

This a nice picture from my times in South Africa and touring with the North West University New Music Ensemble.
That day -still remember- performed my music, Saariaho, Berio and Schoenberg.

Such a JOY being in South Africa for a couple of years and doing Music with awesome fellows.

Always is good time play music. Does not mother how old or young you are. Does not mother if you are a professional or a begginer. What matters is to be always keen to learn new things and let the music elevate you to the highest level of happines.

I am always keen to make music: When conducting a big orchestra or teaching to wee children... because in the end all is music!
