🌟Bitsi Lanyards🌟

It’s been a big milestone for us this week as we got our new Bitsi lanyards delivered!

Every child who comes to Bitsi will get their own lanyard to show they are a member of our Bitsi community 💜 we know how important it is for children to feel included and like they matter, and this is just one of the ways that we are showing they belong at Bitsi.

And, in true Bitsi fashion, we already had LEGO minifigures attached to one by the end of our session today 😅

It's Spooktober! 👻

And we're kicking off the spooky season in style with some micro:bit fun this week. We'll be making spooky micro:bit monsters, haunted houses and moving ghosts!

We can't wait to see everyone's spooky creations.

⭐️Teamwork makes the dream work ⭐️

As a millennial who grew up playing the Sims and Luigi’s Mansion, I am the first to throw my hands up and say I’m not a Minecraft expert.

That’s why I’m so happy to have Olivia on the team. She knows all about the latest Minecraft updates, how redstone works and all the hidden cool features of Minecraft.

During our Minecraft sessions, you’ll often hear me say “that sounds like a question for Olivia” because she is a treasure trove of knowledge!

She’s fantastic with the children, and is great at helping to build their confidence and develop their creativity 💜 we’re so happy to have her as part of our Bitsi team!

Ps we also had to take the opportunity to show off our new T-shirts!! 😄

🌟I just made my own game! 🌟

We run lots of different types of sessions at Bitsi, from LEGO Robotics, to micro:bits and even Minecraft Education. But for many of our children, building their own game is their favourite thing to do at Bitsi 🎮

Children can pick their own characters, design their own levels and even design their own sounds. This gives them an amazing feeling of ownership over their work which means they are invested in debugging any issues and improving their game even further 👾

What's even better is that they get the chance to share their projects with their families at pick up time, and mums and dads become game testers!

We've made pong games, sprite designers, platform games...what's been your child's favourite game they've made so far?
