Meet Alice and Emily.

Two years ago they’d never skippered a race yacht when starting their journey with Unity. This season they’ve run their own double-handed campaign with a supportive programme, training races and their first cross channel race to Cherbourg.

That’s what Unity is for.

We started in 2023 as a way to share the cost and opportunity of owning a race yacht. It’s become a community — sailors learning together, finding teammates, setting big goals, and smashing them.

That growth is what matters most to us now. Backing our teams. Watching teammates go from crew to race skipper. Building something that actually helps.

Cherbourg was outstanding!

If there was ever race designed for Sunfasts this would be it, especially our 3300s.

The reach across to Cherbourg was epic, hitting and holding 14-16knts for over 5 minutes at points.
Our A3 by North Sails was an absolute weapon.

The marine traffic through the night made flying spinnakers a real challenge along with it being a dark night. Concentrating on both speed, but also safe navigation through the shipping lanes and avoiding some questionable decisions by some ships.

Thanks to all teams and crews racing with us this weekend, with all our Sunfasts competing.

Highest credit to our all female double handed team, Project Chaos. Racing their first race on Hair of the Dog without our coach. More information to follow!! 🙌

Unity fleet has grown to become an amazing platform for crews to team up and learn to become race skippers, and race their own campaign.

Thank you Royal Ocean Racing Club and JOG Yacht Racing for a great weekend racing and organising some perfect winds. Our teams who stayed enjoyed the after party, while others circled round and were home by lunch time.
