Blue Class have enjoyed learning all about different types of trees. They understand how to identify Deciduous and Evergreen trees. Using their new knowledge, they documented all the different trees we have at Bradshaw, measuring their heights and guessing their ages π²π³πͺΎ

This week we've seen children building incredible structures with crates and tyres, creating imaginative worlds in the mud kitchen, getting creative in the sand area, developing teamwork through games, and showing resilience as they tackled new challenges.
Through OPAL play, children continue to develop confidence, creativity, problem-solving skills and friendships while having lots of fun outdoorsππ

Orange and Yellow class have enjoyed the lovely weather this week, we have started our transition process by joining the rest of the school for afternoon Opal playtimes. We have had the best time. We have also started to explore the Year 1 and 2 classrooms.
We love our new playground floor, our favourite thing is making obstacle courses. This space has opened so many opportunities for gross motor play! ππ

Green Class have had another fantastic week of learning!
In Maths, we have been exploring numbers to 100 using Base Ten resources to help us understand tens and ones. In Science, we learned about the differences between deciduous and evergreen trees and investigated how to identify them.
We also had a very special visit from Mrs Heppenstall, who brought in her beautiful new baby to meet the class. The children loved seeing the baby and enjoyed asking lots of thoughtful questions.
Well done, Green Class, for another week of hard work, curiosity and enthusiasm! ππ

A huge thank you to all the parents and carers who joined us for our OPAL Stay and Play event.
It was fantastic to see families getting involved in play alongside their children and experiencing the opportunities that make our playtimes so special.
OPAL (Outdoor Play and Learning) is all about creating rich, inclusive and engaging play opportunities for every child, every day.
Thank you also to everyone who supported our cake sale. We are incredibly grateful for your continued support as we continue to develop our OPAL provision at Bradshaw Primary School.
