Green Class have been working with numbers to 10!

We have been learning how to compare quantities using the mathematical language greater than, less than and equal to.
The children have been practising using the >, < and = symbols accurately to compare different numbers and quantities.
They did a fantastic job explaining their thinking and showing what they have learned!

Well done, Green Class! 👏💚

We have been looking closely at the 'Greater Than, Less Than and Equals To' symbols and how we can compare numbers using these.
The class used Blockzilla and the Numberblocks to help them compare different numbers, carefully understanding their amounts and representing this understanding by using the symbols correctly ➕ ➖

Year 4 had a fantastic day at Cliffe Castle!

We enjoyed exploring the museum and discovering lots of interesting exhibits before taking part in a brilliant Stone Age workshop ahead of our new History topic.

The children had the chance to handle real artefacts, learn about Stone Age clothing, tools and weapons, and even have a go at digging for artefacts themselves! We finished the day by creating our own Stone Age-style wall paintings.

A brilliant hands-on day of learning and a great introduction to our new topic!
