A HUGE well done Year 11! We’re incredibly proud of our students following another fantastic set of GCSE results today.

Some superstars to mention:

🌟 Lois and Noah who achieved 10 Grade 9s, with Noah also achieving a Grade 9 in Further Maths

🌟 Eira, Imogen and Nandini who each achieved 9 Grade 9s

🌟 Rana who achieved Grades 8/9 across 11 subjects

Across the year group, two thirds of all grades were Grade 7 or above, with 65 students achieving an Attainment 8 average of Grade 8 or above to earn a Sixth Form scholarship.

You have all worked so hard, and it shows. You are shining examples of our school values of kindness, courage and excellence. We’re so proud of you and cannot wait to see what you all achieve next.

This Thursday is A-Level Results Day, and we know many of you will be feeling a mixture of excitement, nerves and anticipation right now. Whatever you're feeling, that's completely normal.

As you prepare for Thursday, here are a few things you can do today:

Have everything ready:
Make sure you can access your UCAS Hub and the email account linked to your application. Have your phone fully charged and keep a charger nearby. It’s also worth making a note of Clearing phone numbers for universities you're interested in, just in case.

Plan for all outcomes:
It's important to stay positive, but it's also sensible to think about your back-up options. If things don't go exactly as planned, remember there are still plenty of routes available, including Clearing, gap years, alternative courses and resits. A different path can still lead to the same destination.

Know your options:
Take some time to familiarise yourself with UCAS Clearing and research universities or courses that may interest you. Being prepared can help you feel more confident and in control on the day.

Be kind to yourself:
Results Day can feel overwhelming. Try to take some time to relax today and tomorrow, do something you enjoy and talk to family or friends about how you're feeling. You're not alone, and support is always available!

Most importantly, remember this: your grades do not define you! Whatever happens on Thursday, there are many different routes to a successful and fulfilling future.

Our experienced Sixth Form team will be in school to offer guidance and support when you collect your results, and we'll be ready to welcome you from 8.00am in the Sports Hall. We're really looking forward to seeing you!

πŸ’‰πŸŽ“ Year 13 Students – Have You Booked Your Free MenB Vaccination? πŸŽ“πŸ’‰

As many of our Year 13 students prepare for the next exciting chapter of their lives, we would like to remind families about the free NHS MenB (meningococcal B) vaccination programme.

Following recent cases of MenB in the UK, the NHS is offering the vaccine to eligible young people aged 17–18 to help protect against meningococcal disease before they move into higher education or shared accommodation, where the risk of infection can be higher.

If you were born between 1 September 2007 and 31 August 2008 and are registered with a GP in England, you can now book your free vaccination online.

For more information or to book an appointment, visit:

πŸ‡¨πŸ‡³πŸ€– Abdullah's AI Adventure in China! πŸ€–πŸ‡¨πŸ‡³

Abdullah in Year 12 recently attended an AI Summer School in China. The programme gave Abdullah the opportunity to explore the exciting world of Artificial Intelligence, learning alongside students from around the world while experiencing a different culture and developing new skills.

Opportunities like this allow our students to broaden their horizons, challenge themselves and gain experiences that will inspire their future studies and careers.

Thank you, Abdullah, for sharing these brilliant photos with us. We're delighted to see you making the most of such an incredible opportunity and look forward to hearing more about your experience when you're back at school! πŸ’œπŸ‘

If you're heading to the Halifax Agricultural Show this weekend, keep an eye out for some very familiar faces! 🐐

Elliot, Gaynor, Gloria and their pals, the gorgeous goats who stole everyone's hearts at our Student Marketplace will be there!

We loved having them visit us during Fundraising Fortnight, and we're sure they'll be just as popular this weekend. If you're attending the show, be sure to go and say hello!

During the final week of term, we were delighted to welcome some special visitors to The Crossley Heath School as we celebrated the life and legacy of Martha Crossley.

As part of the celebrations, we unveiled a display dedicated to Martha on our new Inspirational Women Wall. We realised that one staircase in our historic school is lined with portraits of influential men, so we're gradually creating a space on our other main staircase to celebrate the women who have shaped our school, our community and beyond. There could be no more fitting addition than Martha.

From humble beginnings in domestic service at just 13 years old, Martha went on to help build the globally successful Crossley carpet business alongside her husband, John. Stories were shared of Martha's amazing work ethic, getting up at 4am to work on the business, juggling this with caring for her large family and devoting herself to helping those less fortunate than themselves. It was these incredible values which she instilled in her family which ultimately led to the founding of The Crossley and Porter Orphan Home and School in 1864. More than a century later, those same values of kindness, courage and excellence continue to guide our school today.

It was a pleasure to welcome Martha's three-times great-grandson, Simon, along with many lovely others involved in recognising her contribution to Halifax's history. The celebrations continued later that morning with the unveiling of Martha's blue plaque at Dean Clough.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for such a memorable morning!
