Our worm adventure. Today whilst we were moving the outdoor area around we found lots of worms underneath crates & pallets. Our children showed lots of interest in the worms & started a worm hunt. We had lots of discussions about worms and decided together to make a home for the worms. We searched on the Internet how to make a wormery & gathered the things we needed. Our children worked together to create layers of soil & sand and found lots of dead leaves to place on top. Once we had finished making our wormery we put our worms in and watched them tunnel their way through the soil. Some of our children created pictures of the worms using language such as long, skinny, thin and stretchy. We then created a bug corner to allow our children to explore different types of bugs & extend on their interest & learning.
We can't wait to see what our worms have been up to on Monday. βΊ
