πŸͺ¨πŸ”₯ Year 3 stepped back in time to the Stone Age! πŸ”₯πŸͺ¨
During their exciting Stone Age workshop, the children explored what life was like in Stone Age Britain through lots of hands-on activities. 🦴🏹
They became archaeologists, carefully investigating artefacts before presenting their findings to the group πŸ”Ž, recreated their own cave paintings 🎨, shared stories around the campfire πŸ”₯ and even used their bodies to recreate Stonehenge! πŸͺ¨
What a fantastic way to bring our history learning to life! πŸŒŸπŸ‘

Year 2 and Year 6 have teamed up as reading buddies, meeting once a week to share a story πŸ“šπŸ’›
It’s already becoming one of the best moments of our week β€” full of smiles, cosy reading spots and wonderful conversations between our older and younger pupils 🌟✨

🎢 Year 1 Elder have been finding the beat in music this week!
We listened to Rondo Alla Turca by Mozart and discovered that although it was originally written for piano, it became so popular that musicians now perform it on lots of different instruments. 🎹🎻✨

We also explored how our bodies can make sound too, using body percussion to keep the beat and perform along with the music. πŸ‘πŸ«°πŸ¦Ά
Such a fun, energetic lesson full of rhythm and smiles! πŸ˜„πŸ’«

πŸŽ‰ Celebrating 150 Years of Northowram Heritage πŸŽ‰

This year we’re proudly celebrating 150 years of Northowram Primary School and a special part of that journey has been rediscovering our original school badge πŸ›‘οΈβœ¨
After many years of adaptations, we found that the badge had changed quite a lot β€” so we set out to reclaim its true features and meaning.

Our original badge is now displayed proudly in the school entrance, along with a plaque that explains the significance behind each element πŸŒŸπŸ“œ
A wonderful way to honour our history as we continue to look forward to the future.
