Here's a few pictures from last nights Calderdale College Inspire Awards, where a few of our residents and volunteers were up for awards, including Calderdale's College Award and Adult Student of the Year!!

What an amazing evening, celebrating some amazing achievements.

We encourage all our residents to pursue further education, as this will benefit them greatly in the future.

Some of the courses our clients are enrolled in are: Counselling, Health and Social Care, Mental Health, and Teaching, which just goes to show that anything is possible after addiction!

Congratulations to all those who won awards!

WOW! WHAT A DAY!

Yesterday our CEO Yvonne Oliver and Education Development Emma attended The 100 Years of Monarchy and Democracy celebration at Westminster Abbey.

We are honored to have been asked to attend this event, and to be included in the book that recognizes organisations and charities that make a real difference!

This is a real Testament to all the hard word that we do here at Alpha House.

Here's a few pictures from the Pantomime this weekend.

Great to see our lads coming out in numbers to support this fantastic production to raise awareness around addiction and mental health. Proving that there is a life after addiction.

Well done to everyone who helped produce, and took part in the panto!

Did you see us on Look North last night?!

They were there to film rehearsals for Cinderella, produced by Calderdale in Recovery, which some of our clients are playing parts in!

Amazing to see our guys getting involved with this, putting themselves out of their comfort zones and spreading the message that things DO get better.

Our very own Jason Ross is playing Prince Charming.

Tickets to this are still available from Halifax playhouse, but you will have to be quick!

Last night we had the pleasure of attending the Community Foundation for Calderdale Community Spirit Awards 2026!

Alpha House Calderdale were nominated for Charity of the Year 2026, where we picked up the 'Highly Commended' award.

Congratulations to Invictus Wellbeing for winning on the night!

And congratulations to everyone else who picked up awards.

What a fantastic place Calderdale is, to see so much amazing work going on in the community is beautiful to see.

Massive congratulations to our client, Martin!! Who passed his practical HGV test! Amazing stuff!

Martin joined us in March 2025, and has gone from strength to strength, participating in the groups we provide at Alpha, then going on to volunteer out in the community whilst also doing his HGV licence.

This is what we are all about at Alpha House, providing men with the opportunity to regather and regroup in a safe environment, then encourage them to go out and better themselves and gain the tools and skills to be a success once they leave us.

We’re really proud to share that a group of Alpha House residents successfully completed forklift truck training and achieved their licence recently! 🚜✅

This is a fantastic achievement and an important step towards employment, confidence and independence. Gaining recognised qualifications like this opens real doors and the commitment shown throughout the training has been brilliant to see.

A huge well done to everyone involved - you earned it 💪
