It’s a full and exciting day here at Page to Success Tutoring 🦉

This morning I’m taking part in a seminar with Small Business Britain and Starling’s Female Founder Fundamentals programme, diving into how AI can support and strengthen my business. I’m really enjoying these modules — I’ve already explored finance and building my brand, and today’s session is my third in the series. I love being able to keep learning so I can offer the very best experience for my students and families.

And later on, I’ll be switching gears and getting everything planned and prepped for three sessions this evening. A busy day, but a purposeful one — exactly how I like it.

🦉Fresh Resources🦉

I’ve been putting together a little sensory box for my students — something they can dip into when they need a moment to reset, breathe, or take a gentle break. Sometimes that tiny pause makes all the difference to their focus and confidence.

I’ve also added some new finger pointers to help children remember their finger spaces when writing, and some mini LCD writing tablets for a fun alternative to whiteboards. A small change in tools can make learning feel fresh and exciting, and my students always respond so well to that.

Creating calm, supportive spaces is at the heart of what I do, and I’m excited to use these new resources in our sessions.

🔺Angles and Triangles Adventure🔺

Getting everything ready for a hands‑on angles and triangles session later today.
We’ll start by identifying acute, obtuse and right angles, using a right‑angle checker to help us make accurate decisions.
Next, we’ll dive into the four types of triangle — equilateral, isosceles, scalene and right‑angled — and talk about their key features and how to spot them.
To finish, we’ll switch gears with a fast‑paced round of Connect 4 Times Tables to build fluency and keep learning fun. 🦉

👀Boggle=Learning in Disguise👀

Yesterday’s session ended with a round of Boggle, which is always my student’s top request. It’s such a fun, fast‑paced way to build confidence with vocabulary, spelling and word‑spotting. Lots of laughter, lots of words found, and a lovely way to finish the lesson.

✨ Expanded Noun Phrase Magic! ✨

In this English session, we explored expanded noun phrases using the pattern; adjective-comma-adjective-noun. My student then used this to expand simple sentences about different settings — and her ideas were brilliant.
