For those that are sometimes worried about your child's eating habits - it's all very normal.

A few different activities over the last few days in preschool.
We've been learning about the arctic circle, the animals that live there, the countries that make it up 🐻❄️❄️🧊and what clothes we need to keep us warm in winter. 🧣🧤
Hi all,
Thank you for your understanding and consideration over the last couple of days.
With more snow forecast today and freezing temperatures (met office is showing - 5°) please can you make sure your children are collected no later than 5.15pm.
This gives staff chance to get home before the roads become worse and too icy to travel.
Thank you
Evening all,
After lots of deliberation and weather watching we have made the decision to delay opening tomorrow until 10am.
The roads where we all live are completely untreated and with more snow expected tonight and freezing temperatures we anticipate we won't be able to get to nursery by 7.30am.
We believe by delaying the opening, it may give councils (Calderdale and Bradford) time to treat the roads, making it safer to travel.
We fully understand this may be an inconvenience but we stand by safety being of utmost importance.
Calderdale council have published the following warning
❄️⚠️ Calderdale residents are urged to avoid non-essential travel during the forecasted icy weather conditions over the next few days⚠️❄️
The colder weather is very likely to cause extremely dangerous icy conditions.
Our teams are working hard to keep critical routes clear and gritted between emergency service bases and hospitals to make sure emergency vehicles have suitable access.
We don't take these measures lightly. I will continue to update with any potential changes.

It is with regret we've made the decision to close Nursery today.
The roads are too unsafe to travel.
Please assume we will be open as normal tomorrow. Any issues and I will let you know.
Thank you for your understanding.
Keep warm, enjoy the snow and be safe.
Evening all,
Nursery will not be open at 7.30am tomorrow morning.
We are looking to be able to open tomorrow from around 10am but this depends on the weather as more snow and icy conditions are forecast.
As previously mentioned, majority of staff live on high ground and we will not be risking their safety trying to open if the roads are not safe.
I hope you understand.
I will send a further update by 9am tomorrow morning.
Thank you
NURSERY AND SURROUNDING AREA HAVE HAD A POWER CUT. ALL CHILDREN ARE ON TODDLERS.

November is history month in preschool. Here's a few things we've been up to 🦕🪨💎🐾🦖🔍
We've explored fossils, dinosaur teeth and bones, dinosaur skeletons and looked at the difference between dinosaurs.
We then talked about different dinosaur diets and used the words carnivore, herbivore & omnivore. 🥩🥗
Then we chose our favourite dinosaur and coloured them in - our fine motor skills are improving massively!! ✏️
Snow update ❄️❄️❄️
Morning all,
Staff are struggling to get out due to very icy conditions.
Our aim is to open at 9am to give staff the chance to get to nursery safely.
Please be safe and take care when travelling
Thank you for your cooperation
