We added cornflour, sand and coloured water to the outdoor kitchen area, as well as some conkers. Children enjoyed exploring the malleable play adding more water, using the funnels to help transfer the water, mixing and pouring. Counting the conkers, feeding the dinosaurs and so much more… children’s development of physical skills,PSED , and mathematical development were all met in this play experience

The children enjoyed lots of mark making in the autumn sun last week. Children used their imaginations to be creative, drawing roller coasters, sonics and pictures of themselves and family. Some children were showing an interest in planets, drawing planets, this led to talking about planets and lots of communication. These early mark making skills are all steps towards writing skills establishing.
