✨ A Little More Magic In Our Sensory Room! 🌈
We've added some colourful new lights to our sensory room, making this special space even more inviting for our children 💚
The changing colours and lights provide visual stimulation while creating a calming environment where children can explore, relax and enjoy a sensory break when they need one.
We're always looking for new ways to make our nursery spaces engaging, inclusive and enjoyable for every child ✨

😂 When you bring Toddler Room energy to the Baby Room…

The Toddler Room’s energetic ways are sometimes a little different to the more relaxed pace of our Baby Room… 🤣💚

Safe to say, bringing that toddler energy in definitely livens things up! 🫶🏻😂

🥕🔪 Learning With Something We Grew Ourselves! 🌱

Our toddlers have been putting our home-grown carrots to very good use!

With plenty of supervision and age-appropriate equipment, the children practised safely cutting vegetables – developing their hand-eye coordination, fine motor skills, concentration and independence along the way 💚

And because these were carrots the children had seen growing right here at nursery, it was another opportunity to talk about where our food comes from. 🌱🥕

We even had a little visitor come along to see what we were up to… 👀🐾

Learning doesn't get much more hands-on than this!

🌟 There's Always Something Happening At Shining Stars! 🌟

Every day, our Baby, Toddler and Preschool rooms have a variety of activities planned around the children's ages, interests and development.

One minute we might be getting messy with paint, the next we're exploring the outdoors, reading stories, experimenting with sensory play or learning a brand-new skill 🌈

Activities are an important part of how we encourage children to explore, communicate, create, problem-solve and develop their confidence – all through something they naturally love to do: play! 💚

🥕👩‍🍳 Did You Know These Carrots Were Grown At Nursery?

It doesn't get much more home-grown than this! 🌱💚

Our children helped grow and pick their very own carrots from our nursery garden… and this week Chef Heather put them to good use in her cooking! 🥕

It's such a lovely way for the children to experience the complete journey of their food – from watching it grow, to harvesting it and finally enjoying it as part of their meals.

Well done to our little gardeners… and Chef Heather, of course! 👏✨

🌈 Every Day Is A Little Bit Magical At Shining Stars ✨

Messy hands. Big imaginations. Outdoor adventures. New friendships. Lots of laughter. 💚

Our days are filled with opportunities for children to play, explore, discover something new and, most importantly, enjoy being little.

Because childhood should be full of fun, curiosity and plenty of magical memories 🫶🏻🌿🌈

🥕🍓 From Garden to Plate! 🍅🌱

Teaching children where their food comes from creates so many opportunities for learning.

Our children have been involved in growing carrots, tomatoes and strawberries right here at Shining Stars, giving them the chance to see the whole journey from planting and caring for something to eventually being able to eat it! 💚

Growing our own food helps children learn about nature, healthy eating, responsibility, patience and how plants change over time.

There's something extra special about eating something you've helped grow yourself! 🥕✨
