🎶✨ Class 3 Music Fun! ✨🎶

Our Class 3 musicians had a fantastic music lesson this week! 🥁🎵

We started by warming up with our body percussion song, which the children absolutely loved! 👏🕺 They showed great rhythm, coordination and lots of enthusiasm.

Then we got stuck into learning to play the glockenspiel 🎼🌟 while also learning to sing “The Dragon Song” 🐉🎶. The children are working hard to listen carefully, keep a steady beat and coordinate their singing and playing — and they’re doing brilliantly!

🎨 Class 3 Art – Exploring Tone and Hatching! 🖌️

Our Class 3 artists have been developing their understanding of tone and exploring how it can be created through the technique of hatching.

Building on the collage compositions they created in our previous lesson, the children transformed their ideas into mixed-media drawings, using different patterns, lines and contrasts to create areas of light and dark. They experimented with how varying the direction, density and spacing of their hatching could change the tone and bring their compositions to life.

It was fantastic to see the children carefully considering pattern contrast and making thoughtful artistic choices as they developed their work. 🌟

🧲 Class 3 Science Investigation! 🔬

Class 3 really enjoyed their next science lesson as they became magnetic detectives! 🕵️‍♀️🕵️‍♂️

The children tested a range of different materials to find out which were magnetic and which were non-magnetic. They carefully recorded their findings in a table and discussed what they noticed. 📋✨

We also put our detective skills to the test by investigating a range of coins. The results were really interesting, with some coins being attracted to the magnet while others were not! 🪙🧲

A fantastic lesson full of curiosity, investigation and scientific discovery! Well done, Class 3! 🌟👏
