🍂 Autumn adventures! 🍁
Last week we wrapped up warm and headed out into our local community for an autumn nature hunt! 👀🌿 The children had lots of fun searching for different autumnal natural resources, from colourful leaves and pine cones to sticks and berries. 🍃🍂

A lovely way to explore the changing seasons, encourage curiosity and learn about the world around us. 🤎✨

A little summer throwback ☀️🌿💛

Our outdoor area may have been a work in progress, but the fun had already begun! 🥹

From balancing and climbing to music, imagination and exploring, our children have loved making the most of every part of the garden. 🛝🎶🎨

So much love, time and hard work has gone into creating a space where children can play, learn, explore and make memories. 💛

And now… it’s nearly complete! 👀✨

🏆🌸 WE WON! 🌸🏆
Our children’s wonderful flowerpot creations were crowned winners of the Under 16s category at the Flowerpot Festival! 🥹🎨

We absolutely loved taking part and giving the children another opportunity to be involved in our local community. ❤️

And of course, they were very happy with their prize… a bag of Haribos to share! 🍬😂

Well done to our amazing little artists! 🌼🏆✨

A huge thank you to everyone involved in organising the festival and to our amazing little artists — what a lovely achievement for our nursery! 🏆✨

Today our last 3 little helpers took a car ride down to deliver our nursery flowerpots, all ready to be displayed at the Flowerpot Festival this Saturday! 🥰🌼

The children have loved getting creative and decorating their own little pots, and we’re so excited for everyone to see them! 🎨🌷

Keep an eye out for Gingerbread House Private Day Nursery’s creations if you’re visiting this weekend! ❤️🪴

Our school children love getting involved with our little ones!
Today, one of our older children practised her reading by sharing a story with the younger children — a lovely way to build confidence, communication and a love of reading. 📖

🐛🦋 A little update on our caterpillars…

Unfortunately, our little caterpillars didn’t quite complete their transformation before we closed for our summer break! 🥹🌿

As we wouldn’t be here to watch over them, we carefully moved them outside to a safe, sheltered spot so nature could take over. 💚 The children loved following their journey and watching all the amazing changes along the way.

We may have missed seeing our butterflies emerge, but it was still such a lovely hands-on learning experience! 🐛➡️🦋✨

A little late posting this one… but our last week before the summer break was too much fun not to share! 🥹☀️💛

We finished off the term with lots of celebrating, experimenting and making memories 🥳🧪✨ From our end-of-year party to getting stuck into some exciting science activities, the children had the best time exploring, laughing and learning together.

It was the perfect way to end another wonderful term at Gingerbread House 🏠🍪 We hope all our children and families have had a lovely break, and we can’t wait to welcome everyone back for more adventures! ❤️

What a fantastic day our children had on their trip to Wellholme Park! We caught the bus together, practising road safety, listening skills and learning all about travelling on public transport. 🚍💛

Before heading to the park, we made a stop at Tesco, where the children explored the community, looked around the shop and even took part in voting with the blue tokens – a great opportunity to learn about making choices and helping local causes. 🛒💙

At the park, the children had so much fun climbing, balancing, swinging, running, playing football and exploring the different equipment. It was wonderful to see their confidence, teamwork and friendships grow throughout the day. 🌿⚽🛝
