Looking to work safely and competently on the gas network? Our Safe Control of Operations (SCO) course is designed to give you the essential knowledge and understanding of gas network procedures, permit systems, and safety-critical practices.

✅ What is SCO?

The SCO scheme ensures individuals working on the gas network are trained to operate safely, with a strong understanding of procedures and correct permit use. It forms the knowledge-based foundation for becoming a Competent Person (CP) or Authorising Engineer (AE) and supports compliance with IGEM/GL/6 Edition 3 standards.

📚 Course Modules (Initial Programme):

Module 1: SCO Core (mandatory for all)
Module 2: Permit to Work (PtW)
Module 3: Non-Routine Operations (NRO)
Module 4: Routine Operations (RO)
Module 5: Form of Authority (FoA)
