Its true! Taking any food out of your diet can change the shape of your face. 🥴
It can make you fu***ng miserable and frown all the time 😡. Nobody wants that unless you are already a frowny miserable f**k then its too late for you.
Diets should include foods you enjoy and look forward to eating. Taking stuff off that you enjoy is just torturing yourself and usually results to binging on these foods when you do reintroduce them (I’ve been there) 🍽️
Instead - make it fit your diet. Obviously we can’t wake up and have 14 dairy milk bars but what we can do is work out our food and make room for maybe one little treat a day or even save them daily treats for a larger one towards the back end of the week. 🤔
If you are struggling with your nutrition why not drop me a message and see if I can help you. We can come up with some ideas to help you achieve your goals! 📈

Week 2 of the off season - 12st 10 the last I checked.
Pretty much to be expected, was sick as a dog the night before my last check in so probably fairly realistic that its shot up again, this has always been a comfortable bodyweight for me I seem to just always stick around this naturally which is exactly what I wanted to do 2 weeks post show - get back healthy and feeling good again. I didn’t get any progress pictures as such, got a few on saturday just to assess for myself but nothing worth posting on here.
Food - I’ve stuck very much to a routine again bar a couple days last week and the monday this week (post parklife I wasn’t going to be eating 125g of oats first thing 😅😅)
However I now have nothing really planned until my next festival which is around 6 weeks. 6 solid weeks to slowly increase my calories week by week forcing myself to grow whilst still enjoying a social life.
Prep was a time for me to be selfish and focus on myself, now its about growing and giving back to others and if that means coming away from plan to spend time around people and maybe get abit fatter then so be it.
Time for a big few weeks with expectations of some all time PB’s and some big big lifts 💪

Its a question I get asked regularly around the gym and it seems such a simple question but you need to dig a little to figure out exactly what diet best suits you 🤔
The simple answer is the best diet for you is one that you can stick to consistently and is tailored towards your goals. 📈
So to break it down to find out your best diet you need to ask yourself -
What are your goals?
What foods do you enjoy?
Why are you wanting to make these changes? Is it an impulsive decision or is it something you genuinely believe is right for you?
What would fit your current lifestyle?
Is this something you can see yourself eating for a long enough time to see the changes you desire?
What are other people doing to hit their goals, are their approaches something you’d like to try?
Once you start to ask yourself these sorts of questions the diet starts to fall into place almost like when you get towards the end of a jigsaw 🧩
This is purely how I structure my plans for clients and this is why every single person has a custom made plan to fit their lifestyles and suit their goals because it is not one shoe fits all when it comes to nutrition. The science can’t be ignored (calorie deficit to lose bodyweight for example) but how you get there is up to you. 💁♀️
If you’d like to work with me and trial my methods to get you in the shape of your life drop me a DM and lets discuss what approach I believe would best suit you! 📱

Week 1 of the off season 😎 12st 4 (thats 13 lbs up from show day a week ago today)
I was going to stop these after prep however I like the idea of sharing this with everyone on a weekend to keep you all updated.
Havent gone too crazy with the food and kept it pretty simple and close to my food plan which has shocked a few people (myself included). Which did leave me abit heavier than today but I was randomly violently sick last night so probably not a true reflected of my weight but fk it. Its there or there abouts.
Also took no time off training and was straight back into the gym on my new plan, the first few weeks of a new plan aren’t that taxing because alot of it is finding your numbers. Its only after a few weeks that it begins to get tough so in that aspect I already feel ahead of the game.
Week 1 of growing with hopefully many many more to come 😈

Now the dust has settled its time to reflect on a truly amazing weekend.
My biggest worry going into this was to not look out of place on that stage and being in the tall category I knew I was up against it.
It was my first ever show (competing or spectating), I prepped myself without a coach or a posing coach having not even done a photoshoot before let alone a bodybuilding prep.
All being said, I am extremely happy with how things turned out. I really think I did myself justice on this prep and I feel incredibly proud to be able to say I did this my way and not look out of place within an incredibly stacked category.
I think I have found my calling within natural bodybuilding and I will 100% be returning with a better package using the lessons learned throughout the last 21 weeks. I know I could be leaner, drier and all round better and this will show the next time I return to the stage, however this will only happen when I feel I have made enough improvements to come back and really make a statement.
Its not about winning and losing, it truly is about celebrating the journey yourself and everyone else has been on to get to that stage and I think that’s been the biggest takeaway from the weekend.
Already back in the gym hungry to improve … this is just the beginning 💪

Week 21 - THE FINAL CHECK IN WITH YOU GUYS ❤️
Weight 11st 8 which matched my all time low on prep, which is also my lowest in bodyweight since around this time 4 years ago when I was in my first year of training learning the ropes.
Ive learned so much throughout the process which is knowledge I will be feeding back into all of my team, but now also understand there’s so much more to learn aswell!
A massive thankyou to all who have supported me, wether that be by wishing me look, training with me, helping with the posing … the list goes on. But an extra special shoutout to .asmith & for their day to day advice, influences, being there for the highs and the lows 😂 and in my moms case - buying my food and doing all the small jobs to make it easier for me 😅
I know me and I know whatever the outcome I won’t be satisfied or happy with the result but thats what will make me go away, work hard and come back stronger 💪

Week 20 - weight 11st 10lbs) I don’t even know what that is compared to last week but the scales have just been a measurement the last few weeks.
ITS PEAK WEEK BABY 🥳🥳
I survived death week however did have a refeed at the end of it. Realistically the hard works done now and its all about using the knowledge I have learned over the last 20 weeks to peak this body for the big dance.
Not too much to say, will do a final check in with you all on friday at my most depleted.
On a note - I’m going to urban burger in halifax after the show and maybe a few bevvies after. I’ll keep you all updated on my story but everyones welcome 🤝

Week 19 - 11st 9.25 (-2lbs from last week, -1lbs from check in low)
Finished off last week with a day off to myself which resulted in me being 12st 4 monday morning 😅 but no time to cry, bitch or moan just went back to plan and didn’t slip up. Fairly easy week compared to the last few and still hit a low. Pics are back to looking solid, posing is only ever improving - building up alot of confidence and momentum going into this.
No plans of a refeed as its just not needed this week I’d be purely doing it out of greed. 2 weeks till the big dance which means around 1 and half weeks to get off whatever fat we can before we carb up.
Its crunch time. Lets gooo!! 💪

Week 18. 11st 11.25 (+1lbs)
Actually hit a low of 11st 8lbs on friday morning before the big carb up, and during friday struggled really bad to actually carb up I was just stuck in a hole so I threw a high sugar dessert in… which turned into abit of a binge including cheesecake. Being totally honest it didn’t do me any harm bar the cheesecake which ruined me. Bloated and watery all day yesterday carrying into today abit - lesson learned and I won’t be doing that again. The saturday I stuck to plan and I didn’t change anything even with the disastrous bloat, would of been easy to go away from my plan but I stuck it out.
I’m glad I did, todays pics were fantastic, full, condition reasonable, everything I want come game day and that was with a binge. Believe me that won’t happen peak week but I also know not to be scared of putting extra food in if I need, just not cheesecake 😅.
I also overcomplicated the depletion stage, next time it’ll be eggs, chicken, dark choc and protein powders only. Keep it simple.
LOTS learned this week, a very eye opening, stressful but also rewarding week.
Having today off, the first time in 18 week’s I’m going to allow to relax and eat as and when I want without binging. Then its 3 weeks grafting hard.
Lets fking go💪
