Back in September 2025 our interns started their DFN Project Search HQ journey at Calderdale and Huddersfield NHS Foundation Trust C

Today we will celebrate their achievements over the past year at their graduation at Calderdale College

This week Calderdale College held their annual awards ceremony at the Victoria Theatre in Halifax, to celebrate the successes over the year of the students.

It was great to see some of our interns nominated for awards and are super proud to say that the DFN Project Search interns won The Calderdale’s College Award, which recognises students that have contributed to their local community and made a positive social impact.

They received this award in recognition of their charity bike ride to raise money for the Maternity Bereavement Suite at Calderdale and Huddersfield NHS Foundation Trust, where they cycled an incredible 203 miles on two stationary bikes and raised over £300 for Calderdale and Huddersfield NHS Charity

We have had an amazing morning at Copley Primary School catching up with the Inclusion team and helping out on a PE session with the reception children.

The interns all got involved, were brilliant with the children and had great fun.

We also got to welcome Lauren from DFN Project Search to the session too, to see what work we are doing with the inclusion team at Copley.

Good luck to all of the inclusion team who will be moving on to new schools in September!

Martha and Candice have just been on the dementia experience bus.

Martha says the experience was "really eye opening and made her realise what life with dementia is like for people"

A Reverse Jobs Fair gives potential employees a platform to showcase their skills and abilities to visiting employers. Each young person has their own station which they have prepared in advance for the event.

We are looking for support from local business to come along and talk to the DFN Project Search interns.
