PEONIES! It’s official! We will have THE most beautiful peony bouquets tomorrow, Saturday 6th June. Come along and get one for your lady love. Or your man love. Or for yourself. For anyone! They are just beautiful.
Our Pop-Up Stall will also have lots of other things too. Come along to support us. All donations are greatly appreciated and support our allotment running costs.

At our Saturday Pop-Up Stall on the 6th June, we will have some HERITAGE TOMATO varieties for you: ‘Black Crimea’ and ‘Saint Pierre’. If you have never eaten a dark skinned tomato you don’t know what you have been missing! They have the most amazing flavour and taste, and are certainly a talking point in a salad or tomato tart!
We’ve also got ink-stamped GREETING CARDS. Blank for your own message and perfect for sending to your gardening friends.

Allotment PEONY time of year! Many plotholders have a beautiful clump of peonies on their plot and there’s some magnificent blooms to be seen. These photos were taken today.

POP-UP STALL!! Saturday 6th June, 10-12, Godfrey Road, Skircoat Green. We will have fresh seed for ‘companion’ planting: calendula pot marigold and nasturtium. Also the sunniest sunflower seeds and the most beautiful poppy seeds.
We will also have some plants too: tomatoes and some veg. Also fresh rhubarb and fresh herbs.

THANKYOU to everyone who came to our 2026 Plant Stall. It was a terrific morning.. The queue started well before 10am and there was actually a cheer when the gate was opened! We had fabulous plants, bouquets of flowers, a seed stall, books, tools, fresh rhubarb and lettuce, and of course a cake stall. Thankyou so much for your donations to support the running costs of our sites at Godfrey Rd and Haigh Lane.
And of course a big thankyou to all our wonderful plot holders who grew our plants, flowers, roses, herbs, shrubs and trees (yes, even heritage apples, a large ginko biloba, and a tall walnut tree no less). We had hundreds of tomato plants, of varieties both familiar and the unusual, and there was not a single one left.
