Little Blossoms is officially open at Trinity Academy Whitehill.

It was a pleasure to welcome Kate Dearden MP for Halifax to officially open Little Blossoms and to explore the academy’s newly refurbished Nursery and Reception spaces.

The new provision for two-year-olds marks an exciting next step for the Whitehill, extending its Early Years offer and giving children the opportunity to begin their learning journey in a warm, nurturing environment from the age of two.

A huge thank you to Kate for joining us and helping mark such an important moment for the academy and its community.

Gold for a third consecutive year. 🏆

We are extremely proud to share that Trinity Multi-Academy Trust has once again been awarded Gold in the The Sutton Trust Fair School Admissions Awards for 2026/27 – making us the only Trust in the country to achieve Gold for three consecutive years.

The Gold Award recognises schools and trusts that have taken determined and significant action to ensure their admissions arrangements provide fair access for young people, regardless of socio-economic background.

In awarding Trinity Gold for a third consecutive year, the Sutton Trust recognised our continued commitment to reviewing our admissions policies, ensuring fair banding supports the communities our schools serve, and carefully analysing the impact of our approach.

Fair admissions are an important part of our wider commitment to social mobility. We want children and young people from every background to have the opportunity to access an excellent education.

We are incredibly proud of this recognition and of the colleagues across our Trust whose work continues to ensure our admissions remain fair, inclusive and rooted in the communities we serve.

A very warm welcome to our newest Trinity Institute of Education trainees!

Today marks the beginning of their journey to becoming teachers, and we’re delighted to have them joining the Trinity family.

This year is particularly exciting as we welcome trainees to our brand-new Leeds Hub, based in the same office space as our colleagues at White Rose Education. Being alongside the White Rose team will create even more opportunities for collaboration and joined-up working, bringing together expertise in teacher training, education and professional development.

Alongside our established Halifax Hub, it means TIE is continuing to grow its presence across West Yorkshire and beyond, providing even more opportunities for aspiring teachers.

We’re looking forward to supporting, challenging and celebrating our trainees throughout the year as they take their first steps into the profession.

What a trip to Spain! ☀️

Year 5 pupils from three of our primary schools joined together for an unforgettable Turing Scheme adventure in Cantabria, where they immersed themselves in Spanish culture, language and climate studies.

From exploring the beautiful city of Santander and taking in breathtaking views from the Fuente Dé Cable Car, to experiencing lessons alongside pupils in a Spanish school and practising their language skills in real-life situations, the trip has been packed with incredible learning opportunities.

Funded through the UK Government's Turing Scheme, the visit has given pupils the opportunity to broaden their horizons, develop their confidence and gain first-hand experience of life and learning in another country.

The weather certainly played its part too - we're hoping our pupils are bringing a little bit of Spain's sunshine back home with them! ☀️😎
