Book of the week is hungry catapilla, following on for our mini beasts topic. One of my favourites, and I'm sure the children agree because they pretty much know it word for word 🥰

What a haul, we've been so busy lately I've not uploaded anything, so here are a few of my favourite theme and activities we've looked at over March and April.

Kicking off with animals, organising and building a lions cave and exploring the different habitat, and features of animals. Book was animals and how to grow a dinosaur and 3 little pigs.

Then following on from this was science week, we looked at items from the cupboard that made different reactions when mixed with vinegar and mixing colours to make other colours. We rubbed balloons on our heads and stuck them to the ceiling to see whos fell first - Book was unicorns.

We of course did our 4 leaf clover for st Patrick's day.

Then all things easter, lots of treats and chocolate, egg hunts and crafts - book was chicken licken and bunny stories.

Mini beasts, looking at lots of different bugs and insects in and outside with lots of added maths and literacy activities. Book was the dancing dung beetle and mini beasts.

Lots of little happy explorers.
