This half term at After School Club we have been looking at different lifecycles. To finish our topic we have grown cress ‘lawns’ The children are looking forward to eating ‘the grass’ on their sandwiches and salads 🌱🥗🌱

⚠️ URGENT RECALL: Hobbycraft Giant Box of Craft

Hobbycraft is recalling a box of mixed craft supplies containing vials of coloured sand due to a potential health risk.

The sand may be contaminated with a small amount of asbestos, which can be harmful even at low levels of exposure.

Full disposal instructions from Hobbycraft:

•Stop using the product immediately.

•If the sand is still in its packaging, place in a heavy-duty plastic bag, double tape it securely, label it clearly and store in a secure location out of the reach of children.

•If the sand has been used, clean up sites where the product was used using wet cloths to avoid generating dust. Wear gloves and a mask.

•Double bag the sand, gloves, mask and cloths.

•Keep children and other people away from areas where the sand has been used until the area has been cleaned.

•Return the sand vials from the product to your nearest Hobbycraft store for a full refund.

•If you are unable to get to a Hobbycraft store, please follow the instructions above and dispose of the sand in your general household waste.

•Contact Hobbycraft for a full refund.

This December After School Club are joining Santa on his sleigh2 holiday around the world. Yesterday we learnt all about the traditions in Iceland and decorated Christmas Trees 🌲

It was too cold to play on the playground tonight so we had a boy v girls dodgeball game instead. We are all looking forward to the sun coming back so we can get back outside 🥶

This week at After School we have focused our activities around Remembrance Day and Children in Need. Children have collected their Pennies for Pudsey, we will count these next week and send off our donation 💛💛💛
