π Eid Celebration π
Today, the children explored a special Eid-themed tuff tray activity. They used a variety of wooden blocks in different shapes and sizes to create and build their very own mosques.
The children demonstrated wonderful creativity, imagination, and problem-solving skills as they carefully balanced and arranged the blocks to make unique structures. Sand was added to the tuff tray, allowing the children to use their fingers to make marks, patterns, and decorative designs. β¨
This engaging activity supported fine motor development, creativity, communication, and cultural awareness while celebrating Eid in a meaningful and enjoyable way. π
Happy Eid! π

β½ Football Day at Jack and Jillβs Day Nursery β½
To celebrate Aston Villa F.C. reaching the Europa League, we held a special Football Day here at Jack and Jillβs Day Nursery.
The children enjoyed a variety of football-themed activities throughout the day. We created a flour tuff tray for the children to explore, using their fingers to make circle shapes just like footballs. The children also had lots of fun decorating biscuits with black and white icing to represent footballs.
Just look at some of our children in their football kits, donβt they look amazing?
We would like to wish Aston Villa F.C. the very best of luck for tonightβs match! β½π

β¨ Self-Portraits β¨
In pre-school, the children used mirrors to carefully look at their facial features and the colour of their hair, eyes, and skin. Each child then used a pencil to draw themselves, creating their very own self-portrait. π¨πͺ
We used paint to match their eye colours and pipe cleaners to represent the colour of their hair. The children were so proud of their creations! π
We have displayed the self-portraits around the pre-school for the children to see and celebrate the wonderful work they have made. π
