🐂Fun at the Farm🐂

The Owls enjoyed a trip to Wythenshawe Park today to see the animals at the farm. They travelled by bus and then enjoyed a walk around the park and farm area where they could pet and feed the animals!

👚 Sustainability made fun 👚

The home corner in Owls needed some new pieces for September so we decided to visit the local charity shop to see what we could find. The children loved looking through the rails and boxes and picking out things they would like to take back to nursery. A fun and educational trip out!

🌿🍦 From Allotment to Ice Cream! 🍦🌿

What a delicious way to enjoy our homegrown rhubarb! The children picked fresh rhubarb from our allotment before helping to chop and prepare it ready to make our very own rhubarb ice cream.

From growing and harvesting to preparing and tasting, the children loved being involved in every step!

A tasty little adventure from our allotment to our bowls!

🌳🎨 Little Owls Go Wild! 🎨🌳

Our Little Owls had a wonderful time exploring the forest!

We enjoyed lots of climbing, discovering and exploring, with the children encouraging and helping each other along the way.

We also got creative with some painting in the wild, mixing colours and creating beautiful pictures inspired by the forest around us.

A lovely day full of adventure, teamwork, creativity and fun!

🌿🦆 A Day Out at Dunham Massey! 🦌🍦

We had a fantastic time on our recent trip to Dunham Massey! The children loved exploring the grounds, spotting ducks and deer, and of course having lots of fun in the play area!

And what better way to finish off a lovely day of adventures than with ice cream!

So many smiles, memories and outdoor fun!

💫 School visits 💫

Last week we arranged for the children to attend Bowdon Church School together ahead of them starting in September. They were very excited to be greeted by some familiar faces who left us last year! The children enjoyed exploring their new playground, canteen and meeting their new Teacher! Thank you to Bowdon Church School for letting us come to visit, we had a lovely time!

🌱 From Allotment to Plate 🫛

Today, the children harvested fresh broad beans from our allotment to use in their afternoon meal. They loved picking the pods and seeing how the vegetables they have helped to grow can become part of a delicious, healthy meal.

Experiences like these help children develop an understanding of where food comes from, encourage healthy eating habits, and foster a sense of pride in caring for and harvesting their own produce.

🌼 Wildflowers, Creativity & Outdoor Learning 🎨

Today, the children enjoyed picking beautiful wildflowers from our allotment before carefully arranging them in a vase. They then used the flowers as inspiration for their paintings, taking time to notice the different colours, shapes, and textures.

This wonderful activity encouraged creativity, developed observational skills, and helped the children build a deeper appreciation for the natural world around them. We love bringing learning to life through hands-on experiences in nature!

🏅Sports Day Superstars🏅

What a fantastic time we had at our annual Sports Day!

The children had so much fun taking part in a variety of races, showing incredible enthusiasm, determination and lots of big smiles along the way. It was wonderful to see everyone cheering each other on and celebrating their achievements.

A huge thank you to all of our families who came along to support the children. It was lovely to see so many parents getting involved too – the parent races certainly brought plenty of laughter, excitement and a little healthy competition!

Events like these create such special memories and are a wonderful opportunity to encourage teamwork, confidence, resilience and a love of being active.

Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make our Sports Days such a success!
