New support for Trafford families with neurodivergent children

Families of children and young people with ADHD, autism and other neurodivergent conditions can now access dedicated advice, information and support through Trafford’s new Neurodiversity Support team.

The service, delivered by Trafford Council in partnership with Barnardo’s, is available before and after diagnosis, and no formal diagnosis is needed to access support.

✅ One-to-one advice from trained Neurodiversity Navigators
✅ Support with behaviour, sleep, nutrition and relationships
✅ Guidance on accessing services across Trafford
✅ Open to families at any stage of their journey.

☀️ Wrapping up for the summer! ☀️
Yesterday marked some of my last sessions before breaking up for the summer holidays, and it was a bit of an emotional one!
I said goodbye to a very special student whom I’ve had the absolute pleasure of tutoring for the last 4 years, right from Reception. Watching him grow, build confidence, and make such incredible progress over the years has been so rewarding. 🧠✨
moments like these make me love what I do so much. I wish him all the absolute best for his next chapter and future learning—he is going to do amazing things! 🌟

Swapping stressful drills for hands-on, interactive learning! Today’s session focused on building foundational phonics (cat, dog, dot, cup) and tackling subtraction on dry-erase boards.

When kids can build, draw, and interact with what they’re learning, concepts truly stick!

✨ Crushing our phonics goals this week! ✨
Learning to read and spell doesn't have to mean staring at a textbook. This week, my brilliant students have been working hard on mastering some tricky phonics concepts using hands-on, interactive games! 🎲✍️
Here’s a sneak peek behind the scenes of this week’s sessions:
Split Digraph Mastery: Using "Roll and Read" games to conquer those magic 'e' words (like take, drive, and cute).
Phase 5 Alternative Pronunciations: Exploring the different ways we use and hear the ‘er’ sound in words like farmer, letter, and ladder.
CVC Word Building & Creativity: Bringing spelling to life on the whiteboards with CVC words (hop, net, mop) paired with matching illustrations to build strong comprehension and memory links.
When lessons are active and game-based, confidence skyrockets! 🚀 I'm so proud of the progress everyone is making.
