Yesterday’s session was a great one! We began by reviewing reading words with “er” and “ur” sounds, and she did an amazing job.

We then moved on to practising column addition before finishing off with column subtraction. A focused and productive session all round—well done! 🌟

Yesterday’s session was all about building confidence with numbers 11–15! 🔢

We used multilink cubes to create each number, helping to bring maths to life in a hands-on way. This child then practised writing these numbers on sticky notes to reinforce their understanding ✏️

To finish, we had lots of fun with a “read and race” game, practising CVC words and building early reading skills 📚💨

A great mix of maths and phonics learning through play!

This student loves to draw! 🎨 This week, she practiced writing CVC words to match her pictures—combining creativity with early literacy skills in such a fun way.

✨ Magical doors and magical minds! ✨

Last night, we let our imaginations run wild, imagining what could be hiding behind a magical door… 🪄✨ The creativity was amazing!

After our adventure, we wrapped up by revising our Phase 5 sounds with a fun game, making learning both magical and memorable. 🎵🎲

It’s always wonderful to see learning and imagination come together! 💡💖

Learning through play and practice ✏️🧠

From forming letters to building number sense, every small step counts! Today’s session was all about:
🔤 Practicing handwriting and letter recognition
🔢 Exploring numbers with hands-on resources
🚀 Making learning fun with interactive games

I love seeing confidence grow as skills develop in a relaxed, supportive environment 💛

📚 Fun learning✏️

Yesterday, we focused on the split digraph a-e, practicing words like cake and make. We explored using different conjunctions—and, but, or, because—to make our sentences more interesting.

We also worked on keeping our writing neat and using highlight lines to help place letters correctly. Little steps like these make a big difference in building confident writers! 💡✍️

Learning + fun = the best kind of progress! 🎯✨

Yesterday we turned math practice into a game, concentrating on time tables-spinning, counting, and building confidence with every turn. When kids enjoy the process, their skills grow naturally!

I focus on making learning engaging, interactive, and tailored to each child’s pace—because confidence is just as important as correct answers 💡

✨ Making Phonics Fun – Phase 4 ✨

Learning to read doesn’t have to feel like hard work! Today we practised Phase 4 phonics using games, dice and hands-on activities 🎲

Phase 4 is all about building confidence with blending and reading longer words, and the best way to do that is through play, repetition and a relaxed environment.

When children are engaged and having fun, their confidence grows so quickly 💛
