Can’t believe the last week (3 days) is upon us already!😱 Just a quick reminder that tomorrow the children can wear their football shirts! ⚽️ Or a colourful T-shirt if do not have one and would still like to join in, following the football final tonight (this is optional).

Wednesday is the WOW event for the children, where they can where m***i clothes for their last day.

A huge thank you to everyone who came along to the Thornton Grove Summer Fair today! ☀️🎉

It was wonderful to see so many families enjoying the stalls, taking part in the activities and having fun in the sunshine. Your support helped make the day such a fantastic success.

A very special thank you to our amazing PTA for all their hard work in organising this wonderful event. We’re also incredibly grateful to all of the volunteers and staff who gave up their Saturday to help everything run so smoothly. We couldn't have done it without you!

Thank you once again to everyone who joined us. We hope you all have a fantastic rest of the weekend! 💜

☀️Summer Fair tomorrow!☀️

📅 Saturday 4th July 2026
⏰ 11:00am – 2:00pm
📍 Thornton Grove Academy, Marshfoot Lane, Hailsham

Expect a fun-filled afternoon with:

🎶 DJ & Music
🎟️ Raffle
🎯 Games & Races
🛍️ Local Stalls
🍔 Delicious Food
✨ And plenty more surprises!

Whether you're a Thornton Grove family or simply looking for a great community event, everyone is welcome.

☀️ The weather forecast is looking lovely.🤞🏻

Don’t forget to bring plenty of change to take part in all the events available. There will a PTA member with a card machine for tokens to use around the event, but please note not all stalls will be able to except these. Please do look out for our signs.💜

🏰 If you wish to use the bouncy castle, please do make sure to bring socks with you to the fair to pop on to be able to enjoy it.🧦

So that everyone can enjoy their time at the event, we kindly ask;

- No smoking and no va**ng on the school site.
- Dogs are not permitted on the school grounds (with the exception of assistance dogs).
- If you are driving, please park considerately, being mindful of our neighbours by not blocking driveways or parking on junction corners.
- Please do not park or stop in front of the school gates at any entrance. These access points must be kept clear at all times to allow emergency vehicles access should we need the support of the emergency services.
