My new small-group Maths Club combines games, puzzles and challenges with structured maths activities, helping students develop their skills while enjoying themselves.

The aim is to create a relaxed environment where students can learn from each other, build confidence and become more independent in their problem-solving.

If you’ve ever looked at your child’s homework and thought…

“I honestly don’t remember doing this at school!”

…you are definitely not alone.

The methods children are taught now can be very different from the way we were taught, and trying to explain something you’re not familiar with can leave both you and your child feeling frustrated.

And sometimes, it isn’t even about the maths itself.

Your child might understand some of the work but have gaps in the basics underneath it. They might lack confidence, worry about getting things wrong, or simply need someone to explain it in a different way.
That’s where tutoring can make such a difference.

You don’t need to know how to teach the maths.
You don’t need to sit beside them every evening.
And you certainly don’t need to become their teacher!

My job is to work out why they’re struggling, fill those gaps, explain things in a way that makes sense to them, and gradually build their confidence.

Because sometimes the biggest change isn’t just seeing a higher mark on the page…

…it’s hearing your child say:
“Ohhh… I get it now!” ❤️

If your child's Year 10 mock results weren't what they were hoping for, there's still plenty of time to turn things around.

Whether they've lost confidence, are finding maths a struggle, or simply need extra support for Year 11, now is the ideal time to put the right help in place.

I'm an experienced maths teacher with:
✔ 18 years of classroom experience
✔ 4 years of successful private tutoring
✔ Experience as a GCSE examiner

I don't just teach maths—I help students build the confidence, knowledge and exam skills they need to succeed in GCSE Maths. Over the years, I've helped hundreds of students overcome barriers, grow in confidence, and make meaningful progress.

Why choose a small group?
Many parents naturally think one-to-one tuition is the best option. In reality, a well-planned small group can offer even greater benefits.

With a maximum of 8 students, every learner receives individual attention while also benefiting from learning alongside others with similar goals.

Students will:
• Build confidence in a supportive, encouraging environment.
• Learn from each other's questions and different approaches.
• Develop stronger problem-solving and exam skills.
• Receive personalised guidance and regular feedback.
• Stay motivated as part of a small group working towards the same goal.

Sessions take place in my dedicated tutoring room in Hailsham, providing a calm, focused learning environment away from the distractions of home.

The programme is designed to help students strengthen their mathematical understanding, build confidence and develop the skills needed to achieve their full potential in GCSE Maths.
