the ground of Hackleton Primary school. We offer childcare to children between the ages of 3months to 5 years. We also offer before and after school care for primary age children. We also run a fantastic holiday club.

📚🦆 Story of the Week – Farmer Duck 🦆📚

Using our story of the week, Farmer Duck, the children have been talking about the different emotions the duck feels throughout the story. 💛

The children explored what it means to feel happy and sad, talking about times when they might feel these emotions themselves. They had lots of fun pulling their best happy and sad faces too! 😊😢

This supported the children to recognise and name different emotions, express how they are feeling and begin to understand how others may feel. 💚

🚜🐄 Farmer Duck Tuff Tray Fun! 🦆🌾

To continue with our Book of the Week – Farmer Duck, the children have been exploring our farm-themed tuff tray.

They enjoyed moving the different farm animals around, exploring the hay, soil and other natural resources, and creating their own little farmyard adventures. 🐷🐑🐄

As they played, the children talked about the different animals, the sounds they make and where they might live, bringing our story of the week to life through hands-on play. 📚💚

What a busy day down on the farm! 🚜🦆🌾

🐄🐷 Farm Animal Fun! 🐑🎨

Today the children have been creating their very own farm animal masks! 🎭

They each chose which farm animal they wanted to make and talked about the different colours they would need. They then got busy painting their masks, carefully choosing the right colours for their chosen animal. 🐮🐷🐑

This was a lovely opportunity for the children to talk about the different farm animals, recognise colours and make their own choices, all while getting creative with the paint! 🎨💚

We can’t wait to see our little farmyard come to life when the masks are finished! 🐄🐑🐷
