☀️ Gweek Summer Fair – Saturday 8th August, 2–5pm ☀️

Come along to the Village Green for an afternoon of village fun!

Gweek Seals Playgroup will be running a jumble sale table to help raise funds for our lovely community playgroup.

If you can spare 30 minutes to help at the stall, or are able to bake a cake for our donation to host the table, we'd be so grateful.

Otherwise, pop by, have a browse, and enjoy the afternoon. We hope to see you there! 💙

Ready to play on this beautiful day today at Gweek Seals Playgroup

Water play and sandpit in our sunny spot outside, sunshine weaving craft on the activities table, invitations to play looking inviting, coffee and tea in the pot and a delicious honey cake made by this session's lovely cake volunteer Esther and family.

Come and join us at Gweek Village Hall, TR12 6UG, on Mondays and Thursdays 9:30-12 midday (term time) for our last few sessions before summer break 🌞

Hot, hot, hot...walking St Michael's Way today

Well, today was not the day to be walking 10 miles (actually 13, 'cos we got lost!) - scorching! But we made it and threw ourselves gratefully into the sea at Marazion. There wonderful Beata, assisted by my lovely husband, had set up the event shelter and welcomed everyone to the finish line with watermelon and ice lollies. What a day! Not too late to donate (and a thousand thanks to those who have already)

Just a reminder about this Saturday 11th July:

St Michael's Way 10-mile walk, you can park at at Porthkidney Sands car park (£6.50 for 8h) - meet at St Uny's Church in Lelant to set off at 9am.

For anyone doing the 6-mile circular, Maddy will meet you at Marazion car park at 11am. She will have the map too.

Anyone else, sponsored toddle is at 2pm. Beata will get in the beach at Marazion with the Event Shelter and refreshments so look out for her.

Remember to bring suncream, hats, water, snacks and swimming stuff if you want to jump in the sea to reward your efforts at the end!

As we draw to the end of the Gweek Seals financial year, we are desperately in need of funds again...

Have pinned the sponsored walk post. Pls get in touch if you would like to be added to the WhatsApp group.

Sponsor forms are available (paper ones from playgroup or electronic). A donation platform is coming (just waiting on some paperwork).

Also, if you love our little playgroup, help spread the word and invite others. At the moment, the fees are covering less than half our outgoings - we are struggling to keep costs down and fees affordable for all so if we can increase our numbers, it will definitely help 💪🙏
