This week we have said goodbye to our wonderful headteacher, Mrs Cox. After 36 years in education she has retired to enjoy the next chapter of her life. We cannot thank her enough for everything she has done for our schools. During her time with us she has continually gone above and beyond for her staff, the children and their families. She has provided all with support, encouragement and advice. We would like to thank her for every early morning, every late evening, every difficult conversation, every reassuring word, every mile driven, every extra job taken on without hesitation, and every single thing she has done to make our schools the special places they are today.

Last Thursday we were delighted to welcome local environmental childrenās author Ellie Jackson to our school for a special visit and story session reading Duffyās Lucky Escape, her real-life inspired story about sea turtles and the dangers of plastic pollution.
The children learnt about Duffy the turtle, the challenges she faces in the ocean, as well as learning about Ellie's journey to becoming an author - and it all started in primary school!
If your child enjoyed Ellieās visit, copies of all 8 books in the series are available to buy at a special school price of Ā£5 each. The series includes real-life inspired stories about puffins, polar bears, orangutans, bees, hedgehogs, koalas and whales, each gently exploring a different environmental issue in a hopeful and child-friendly way. You can find out more on her website www.wildtribeheroes.com
Ellie is happy to personally sign and dedicate every copy, making them a lovely keepsake or gift.
To order, please send Ā£5 per book in a sealed envelope with your childās name and chosen book title by Tuesday 21st July and we will pass the orders on to Ellie for collection on Wednesday 22 July.
Many thanks
