Sharing on behalf of Plymouth City Council and Livewell Southwest:

⭐ Neuro-affirming practice survey for children, young people and families.

👉Professionals within Plymouth City Council and Livewell South West want to improve the experience of neurodivergent children and young people who use their services. A number of them have lived experience in this area and know the difference that professionals’ approaches can make for children, young people and families.

Please help them shape their neuro-affirming commitments by completing one of their surveys 👇

The deadline for school transport applications is Friday, July 10.

We're urging parents and carers to check their child’s eligibility and apply now to ensure that transport is in place at the start of the new school year.

We know that there are lots of Plymouth families whose children and young people are on part-time/reduced timetables at the moment.

With this in mind, we are sharing this post on behalf of Rachel, a Trainee Psychologist at Plymouth City Council, who would love to hear more about YOUR experience:

📣 Participants wanted for a doctoral thesis study
I am currently recruiting parents and carers to take part in a research study exploring children’s return to full time education after a period on a reduced or part time timetable.

🎯 What is the study about?
The study aims to understand what helps or makes it more difficult for children to transition successfully back into full time school after a reduced timetable. This includes exploring barriers and facilitators during the process.

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Who can take part?
You may be eligible if you are a parent or carer of a primary school-aged child who:
∙Has previously been on a reduced or part-time timetable
∙Has since returned to full-time education

💬 What would participation involve?
Taking part would involve a confidential conversation on Teams or in person about your experiences. Participation is voluntary, and you can withdraw at any time.

📌 Why take part?
Your insights will help build understanding of how schools and professionals can better support children and families during this transition.
